So i have bought oneplus 7T in november 2020 after 1 year of it's global release. I want to share my experience why i chose 7T over any other smartphone in 2020.
I was on a very strict budget(around 30k inr) and wanted a all rounder but after spending a week or so, i realised no smartphone is perfect. Every smartphone has it's own pros and cons. So let's take a look why i bought 7T in 2020.

1)Processor :- 855+ is quite a powerful processor in 2020 as well. You can throw any game at it and it would play the game smoothly. If we compare it to other flagship processors, it lacks behind but it was more than enough for 99% of users.

2)Display :- a 6.55 inch fluid amoled display never disappointed me. The brightness, colours, and viewing experience is just amazing. Though i felt screen calibration could be improved.

3)Camera :- camera is still a win-win for 7T as it even defeated oneplus 8 camera in some fields. In 33k INR, this is the best camera you can get. Optimization and screen processing are very good.

    4) Build quality :- Though many other devices offer plastic body in the upper-mid range, this 2019 flagship offers a aluminium frame. The weight distribution and in hand feel are superb. The circular camera bump kind of concerns me but the build quality is really good.

    5) Battery :- this is the only field i was concerned about. In the times when every smartphone offers atleast 4000mah battery, 7T comes with 3800mah. But as i'm using it now, i don't feel battery getting drained faster and can say that it has pretty decent battery life(with 90hz refresh rate and a big display). Also warp charge 30T charges this device very quickly.

    6) UI :- The main point i went with 7T in 2020 is the oxygen os and the user experience they provide. I was getting many other devices from other brands with better specs but what's the use of good hardware if the software doesn't optimize it properly. Seeing people suffering with other os and even with oxygen os 11, this oxygen os 10 is way better. You also get the oneplus dialer and other stuff too.

    7) Conclusion :- Even in 2020, oneplus 7T will still amaze you with it's performance, hardware, and quality experience. Though there were many options around 30k INR for me(Nord also), i chose 7T and i do not regret my decision.

    Thanks for reading.

After OxygenOS 11 and Oneplus Nord line up in Europe, Oneplus is losing its direction and loyal fan base.
Carl leaving Oneplus hurts a lot than anything in Oneplus.

I agree with you at some extend, releasing more model leads to negligence which directly affects software experience. Oneplus is all about user experience and if they continue to neglect that, it might lead to their downfall.
