Other Oneplus 7T Using 27GB Of System Storage

Just got my new 7T a few hours ago. I love everything so far except for the crazy high 26 GB system storage usage. My old OnePlus 5 running OOS 9.0.8 only used 7 GB for system storage. I honestly feel robbed of nearly 20 GB storage capacity. Two questions:
    https://omegle.onl/
    • Did stock Android 10 also quadruple system storage or is it just OnePlus?

    • Is there any way to get some of it back? I would root my phone just for this if it helped.
Before someone suggests it: yes, I did a factory reset without bringing over my old data, just to be sure it wasn't me.

It is the same after 1 year.

Only the 7 (t) devices have the android system take up 26 to 30GB of Storage . I've checked both 7 & 7pro myself , they have closer to 14-16 GB system storage. I don't know about the Newer 8 series devices .

Mine is a 7T pro , been using it for an year . Shifted to & back from Open Beta . Android system takes 30 GB right now 😂.
Its a joke at this point

I need the same answer for my Oneplus 8 Pro because it's showing me that my system storage is 32GB. I mean what the hell is this.

Why the hell it's so large??

Because A/B partitioned devices need that much update to provide seamless updates, and don't compare it with OP5 series devices they don't have the proper A/B partition.
You can search on Google for this you will get lots of better article

Then delete the useless file, I don't think your storage is full because of system is taking 50GB...
Upto 35 it would take max.

And please don't bum up old threads, search once before posting.

Every android skin with tweaks and optimizations will take up space for the extra amout of code for those features, whether its OOS or any other skin. Samsung one ui takes more than 32 gb of space (this was back in s10+ time. It might be way more than this now)

That's why i bought 256gb variant instead of 128gb. Also you can use cloud storage of oneplus and google. That will save your space.
