True about the Nightscape, I feel like our phones are much more capable than the nightscape currently, however the macro mode cannot make a difference since the lens cannot physically focus on closer objects.

An update won't be able to help with the macro on our phones UNLESS they use the ultra wide lens and then zoom using that.

I love the 7t camera, the pro is awesome but I'm so in love with my 7t I don't know a phone out there better.

Hello. I have been a Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel 2XL, Pixel 3XL, but now I am planning to dive into the OnePlus community. I am disappointed with the Pixel 4XL lack of free Photos storage, lack of 128GB at a starting point, and pricing. Was looking at the 7 Pro, but I see the the 7T has the similar features, but the 7 Pro has a better resolution screen and a tad bigger too. But I shoot ocassional close-ups, and like the super macro mode the 7t has. Plan to decide by Black Friday!

Night mode on 7 Pro gets my vote. Looks more natural and better exposed.
I did miss laser auto focus in my 7T and OIS in telephoto (especially when in macro mode).

    I couldnt agree more.

I many times even prefer dismissing the whole nightmode setup preferring the more natural feel of the standard option correcting the light manually and than optionally correcting the shot after its taken with Snapseed.

Personally i think the whole nightmode thing has evolved into a hype. So now you can take pictures in an allmost dark room with details which cant be seen by naked eye and showing the room as if it was shot in daylight? What is the point of all this? As photographer i allways prefered taking shots of what i SEE. Appreciating the conditions as they are aliviated as they are

My idea is don't get fooled around by software based enhancements. The best lens is someones eye.

I'm wondering the reason for this thread, it slightly triggers OP 7 Pro owners. Then I remember that T-Mobile stopped selling the OP 7 Pro for OP 7T exclusivity.

I suspect this thread is to help perspective T-Mobile 7T purchasers to feel better than the 7 Pro is not offered by that carrier any longer.

Hope there is a future 8 Pro in the works that will eventually come to T-Mobile in another 18 months. Perhaps it'll have variable controlled aperture cameras along with excellent OIS and multi-lens technologies.

Just got my OnePlus 7 Pro. (see attached picture) My Pixel 3XL is in absolutely flawless mint condition, as it went on a Supcase day I got it, and all the original accessories, including usb cable, charger brick, buds earphones, and original box are still untouched, (I used Pixel 2 charger the whole time) so I am estimating $350 to $380 is what I will get for it. Considering I got the OnePLus 7 Pro for just $549, it would then only cost me $200, or maybe less for the change from my Pixel 3XL to the OnePlus 7 Pro! Woohoo!!!!! Now, after lots of hours of research, here are the 7 reasons I went with the OnePlus 7 Pro, over the OnePlus 7T.........
    1) 7 Pro has camera Laser Auto Focus, (LAF) the 7T does not. Sometimes you ONLY have a slight millisecond to get the perfect shot. I am also intrigued by the camera's Pro Mode on the 7 Pro (don't know if 7t has this or not)
    2) At this special offer, I got the 7 Pro $50 less than the 7T.
    3) Got 256GB memory on the 7 Pro vs 128GB on the 7T.
    4) 3x zoom on the 7 Pro vs 2x on the 7T.
    5) Better screen resolution on 7 Pro 1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~516 ppi density) vs 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~402 ppi density) on 7T. What good are pictures, if the resolution on your device will not do it justice?
    6) Bigger battery 4000 mAh on the Pro vs 3800 mAh on the 7T
    7) The 7 Pro has Optical Image Stabilization, (OIS) the 7t does not.
    8) Entire screen area on the 7 Pro, no cutout for selfie camera is better on the eyes than the waterfall cutout on the 7t.

By the way, already ordered my military drop tested case too!..... https://bit.ly/2V2XaLJ So the phone goes straight to the case, since day one!
