The new onplus 7t has a wide angke lens. But whenever i switch to it. It is always showing blur image like both in after clicking the shutter and in the image too. The camera never focuses.

Both the photos do not have any clear pictures.

New forum do check it out (Based on camera performance) -

Update- New software has come 10.0.5
If you see any camera improvements please comment.

    Update 24/12/19
Wide camera seems to be okay but i am not satisfied. Please share your photos so to see whether they have really improved the camera performance.

About to be year now 10/9/2020
Oneplus didn't acknowledge the issue faced by a lot of oneplus 7T users. It's really a shame that this company grew from listening to its users and now just abandons them.

Same issue here - main camera is fine, but the wide angle shots are always out of focus.
Contacted support and they asked me to wait for the next software update, as this apparently has been reported by a few others.

Not the best customer experience if you get a brand new phone and one of the main advertised features just doesn't work out of the box :(

More people should know how camera work. They forget the fact that these are really tiny sensors trying to work like bigger cameras.

The blur can be fixed by using wide angle in well lit areas as the aperture is smaller than the main lens.

Umm.. No. There's a legitimate issue with the camera here (in my case at least). Maybe it's software, maybe it's hardware. Here's an example of the same scene, in bright daylight. One with main lens, one with wide angle:

You sure you using wide angle? Or accidentally chose super macro mode?

No, the super macro is off. But you're right, it behaves like the focus is set on things very near. And there seems to be little or no difference with the super macro turned on or off for the wide angle lens, so maybe it's somehow stuck in that mode :/

Hoping that the update mentioned by the support will fix it. Otherwise I guess I'll have to send it to the service center.

Same issue with my OnePlus 7t. Ultra Wide angle image is always blurred in well lit environment. Touch to focus doesn't seem to work. Other two lenses are fine.
