Same to me. Ultra wide angle camera can't take sharp photo because of bugged focus :( In nightscape is getting worse (pic rel) I hope the next update will solve this... Anyone know is it will be fixed and when?

The issue is still there after the 10.0.4 update.
The support wants me to send in the phone to the repair centre, so I'm doing that next week and we'll see what they say.

See it is blurry. I don't know why this is happening. They will have to push a software update soon.

No point in doing that. After I read this post, even my phone started acting weird on ultra wide.

This should be fixed in the future updates probably.

New info from me: probably software issue. I was looking what happen while you change lens. I focused at one object at normal lens and without moving phone I change lens to ultra wide... What surprised me? At one, maybe two second object which I focused with normal lens was sharp at wide angle lens, then camera app "correct" focus point a little bit and the photo looks blurred. It looks like the camera app and wide angle AF isn't sync or something.

Nightscape is focusing almost at infinity, what makes photo blurred. Also looks like the camera app think that is infinity, but lens is not focusing at infinity.

same with my 7t as well. the KSP s should be spot on. little disappointed. feeling like it'll take some time to get the bugs cleared post which the fun of a new device will be gone and I have nothing to speak about to my friends proudly, apart from few. its not sharp as well. wide angle, even if it works, the images lack clarity with lots of grains.

I noticed it today as well. I tried making regular photos which were fine and the same photo with wide angle I couldn't get to focus. it stayed blurry

i have the same problem in my Oneplus 7 Pro
The main camera and tele camera work normally, but the ultrawide camera can not focus, but when i shake my hand lightly, it return to normal focus
The problem is seen more clearly when i use video mode, i put camera close up in something and when i take the camera away, it back to can not focus problem
Anybody have the problem same me, and how can i fix the problem. Thanks so much!!!

I just unpacked and fired up mine. Same problem. Wide angle is utter mud. Telephoto aint great either. Has antishake option, but not when you need it. Main lens is great, but why have these bells and whistles that don't work? If a software fix could do the job, great. But if I have to send back, I will not be happy.

i am facing the same issue here with my oneplus 7t. As a workaround i keep the scene in focus in the other lens, and then when i change to wide angle i quickly take a pic. the focus takes a very slight fraction of a second to adjust but if done properly, this can be avoided and the picture stays in focus. Either way this should be addressed by OnePlus asap as the phone literally is working on just 2 proper lenses.
