Hello, I cannot find the exact spec differences between oneplus 8 6GB and 8/12GB, the official specification on website only shows 8/12GB variants of oneplus 8.

I just want to know that is it just the size of ram ? Or does the ram/storage is also slower on 6GB variant ? Like some manufacturers give UFS 2.1 storage instead of 3.0 in base variant. Also, the ram is also LPDDR4X in 6GB variant or something else ?

I want to buy oneplus 8 6GB variant but won't buy it if storage or ram used is slower than the 8GB variant.

There will be definitely a difference in performance but it's all on your budget. I'm using 8gb version and tbh it's really much better than 6gb as i have used before. But if you aren't a heavy user then just go for 6gb.

I don't play games on phone, currently on my OP6, my ram usage hardly goes past 4.3 gb, you said 8gb is much better, can you explain how ? is it faster only when using heavy apps or also faster when opening small apps like whatsapp/telegram etc.

Already checked that before making this thread, there is unfortunately no detail about which ram is used and which storage is used. Just the size is mentioned, not UFS 2.1/3.0 or LPDDR4 ram etc.

I have the 6gb variant. And that's the only difference. I also noticed that 6gb variant is only available in India (correct me if I am wrong)

    Tbh 6gb suffice my needs..

    Hey sorry for late reply!!
Yes 8gb is more flexible and intelligent in handling recent data and app swiping. Also it works better in combination of 90hz refresh rate. Also it is having UFS 3.0 and LPDDR4X. In gaming also it's working soo fine in my experience. But still I'll say if you really are normal user and don't have 3k bucks extra to spend then settle with 6gb but if you can manage 3k bucks more ..... better turn to 8gb [e]1f60a[/e]
PS:- 8gb version isn't available in Amazon, maybe in OnePlus site or offline stores. As i bought mine in offline store too.
