I think it was overreaching into a territory where the big boys play, they can offer the super flagship at a price that is subsidized by their 5 other cheaper models...

Oneplus should have just updated the 7Pro with better guts/specs left the price the same.

I was finally going to replace my OP3 but the price has turned me off for now. Think I'll wait to see if Google redeems itself with the Pixel 5 before deciding what to do. By then the 8T series should be close to launch and I'll either get Pixel 5, OP8T or a discounted OP8. As of today, if I'm going to pay Pixel prices I may as well buy a Pixel.

Personally I would wait for the 8T. Be about the same price but with more and usually better hardware, software features, and maybe slightly higher spec. The T variation usually has the hardware, software bugs ironed out.

Or maybe wait till they bring out the OP9 and reduce the price of the 8T. By that time 5G will have spread to a much bigger audience once this Coronavirus slowdown issue sorts itself.

1000 USD or EUR for a 256GB of storage? Really OnePlus, get real.
Chinese brand charging like an Apple. Great.

And honestly this marketing BS "on ho, of course we will not be a 1000 dollar phone company, no" - make power point with 999USD - profit.

    Shame, really.

Even better, lets introduce inferior option - put a notch in the display instead of a pop up camera, still miss the IP certification and charge more.

These prices will increase iPhone and Samsung sales.
A lot of people will not live with the bad camera of OP combined with the high price. Especially because you never get discount on OnePlus devices and Samsung phones are always on sale...

Amazed with the price, although it is not confirmed for India YET! OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro are remarkable upgrades. How OnePlus is moving with the price thing, it seems kinda identical with what some other companies are doing, already (you know!). I'm more excited to see what they have to offer to Indian consumers. Pretty sure about the 45K mark for the base OnePlus 8. Though strong thing associated with OnePlus is their more than competitive pricing, and if the arrow continues to move up, it might not sound great to most!!

As much as I was looking forward to this device, I view the new front facing camera as a clear downgrade. Now I'm not a big selfie taker, but I do consume plenty of media and that black dot will frustrate me to no end. As a result, I'm forced to stick with my OP7 Pro.

+100€ for the OnePlus 8 from the 7T. Whereas there is no major differences.

OnePlus ditched the 128Gb storage option witht the 7T Pro, but re introduce it with the OP 8 Pro (wtf?) and cost +140€...

599€ for the 8 and 799€ for the 8 pro would have been the right price imo

Just when the whole western world appears to be heading for the biggest recession ever OP decide to up their prices to Samsung/Apple levels. I can't see OP taking it's average customer with them at these prices and with Samsung S20 sales already 50% down on the S9 who is actually going to buy the 8 Pro's? I guess only possibly Huawei owners looking to keep full access to Google apps?

Too expensive for sure, but that is because they are going for top of the line now. I bought my OP6 for 520 euros, in two years they went to 999 :0
