Oneplus 8 & AR (ARCORE) - Not working Jul 1, 2020

    I am having an issue with some apps (porsche and ikea), both of them allow you to use AR to see there products in you house/drive way. Both apps use ARCORE as far as I am aware.

    I don't think that the oneplus 8 supports ARCORE as all I see is my house and the driveway without the product superimposed into the picture, anyone else had this issue?

    Have you checked to make sure you are on the latest version of Google Play Services for AR?

    There was an update in June. It's possible it may not be working due to you being on an older version.

    Additionally, looking at the playstore, a lot of negative reviews on it not working properly. So it could just be the app itself

    That is the latest version.

    Edit: I downloaded the IKEA place app and it continuously scans the floor and goes no further.

    So the AR part does work as it views the camera fine.

    I checked with Google AR (animals) and same issue. It's continuously scanning the floor only
