    Hi everyone,

Today after using the my OnePlus 8 for about 2 months i came to know about this issue.

Yet the @OnePlus team doesn't fix this issue.

While clicking the photo with primary camera with no zoom it comes perfect.

    See the above image.

Now i have click the same photo with 2x zoom

    1602841841290.jpg
See the difference. I was shocked. How can so much colors are brushed out. This is not the example of good quality camera nor phone

I have spend 44k and upgrade from oneplus 6 to oneplus 8 to see this advancement ?

Is everyone with OnePlus 8 series facing same issue ?.

And when OnePlus going to fix this major issue rather than focusing on the new features.

Please tell me whom to talk or tag here. So that my concerns raise to right person.
    I'm so much frustrated.

See the same photos on my oneplus 6

This is a result of the zoomed image being taken with the different camera sensor. If bet it's a calibration issue. Different cameras will frequently produce different results, and since the back of the phone has multiple cameras, software has to do some magic to make them all look the same and produce similar looking results.

So this could be easily fixed with a software update from oneplus, but in the mean time you could use what ever photo editor you like to boost the color saturation to match the wide angle photo.

I completely agree with you. This is something with the software because i installed the google cam checked it. And it worked perfectly.

But main point is when they are going to solve this issue. And they are working on oxygen 11 updates but their native camera app is not working perfectly.

This is the major issue their native camera producing wrong result.

Oneplus should says something on this

It's not though. At 2X, the photo is still being taken with the main sensor.

I sure wish they'd put some more effort into the cameras. The processing is so unreliable and sometimes just really bad. And you can't use pro mode with 3/4 lenses, or we video, so you can't even fix it yourself without resorting to GCam.

I bought this phone in June and it's still a shame that OnePlus can't fix the cameras from last 5 months. My sis's OnePlus 6 takes better pics than my 8. As all say, OnePlus weakest link is there cameras, they are too trash

Spending 42k is looks like a blunder when checking camera
Even mid-range 20k phone took better photos sometimes
Same comes with front camera..it's not at all good one
