This is a known issue with the OnePlus 8 Pro display. It might be fixed in the May OTA. It’s a huge problem

I think its a hardware defect i get a replacement unit anyway. (the Support said i should get a replacment so i think its not fixable with any software related things)

image retention ( burn in that disappear after some seconds) is fixable 100% by software

uniformity depends on colors so can be rebalanced like on s20 series with a slider for each RGB colors

wait, if Samsung and Google fixed after a period, what do you pretend from oneplus that launch the product only 15 days ago

the Support say fix in next update yes, but obviously not 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 they can't fix in 3 o 5 days cmon

s20 series cost from 900 to 1400 and have this problem
iPhone 11 series cost from 900 to 1500 and have this prob
pixel 4 cost from 900 to 1200 and have this prob

they fixed in 1 month to 6 month

you don't know technology and don't understand what is the job of Dev, so please refund and buy a Nokia 3310

I know you spend money but man you have 2 years of warranty so where is the problem? wait 1 month to this update and if not resolve they will repair your smartphone for free

Reduce the brightness even further and you will see the black bar starting from the camera as well. I can faintly see it in the pictures you uploaded!

But then again, its not on this immense scale .. Everyone that I know that has a 8 Pro has theses issues. If we are spending upwards of 1000 Euros on a phone, I expect it to be near perfect. You sould never settle (lol) on the promise of what the software is gonna become. Buy it as of now and if it gets better, good for them.

The phone has been on sale for nearly a month now, people started reporting Green Tint issues the moment reviewers got their samples. They should've tackled this issue from the get-go.

Also dont even get me started on issues with the replacements, if I would've bought a iPhone 11 or a S20 and theses issues were present on the units, I would've gotten a replacement the second the phone was inspected.

Exactly. I also applied for a refund myself.. Gonna ship it out tomorrow, after that, I'll get an replacement. If the new one comes and the display is fine, I'll stick with the 8pro. If not, I'll get something and wait until the new iPhone comes out. Hopefully it will have a 120hz and a USB-C
