Just out of curiosity, can someone test it on the skin with and without sunscreen (something like spf50 or so) in the sunlight? I read something about being able to exposure uv-a and uv-b radiation. If it works then it would have some use :p
    I'm expecting something like this:

I'm not getting my mine for another week, so it would be great if someone could test it.

There is a part called IR cut, which is in the middle of the lowpass filter (If camera have such filter), for sensors without lowpass filters, the IR cut will still be paced in front of CFA.

    Nice shot...! 👍🙂
    Something like this...?
    1286998-d9756630a6b5dc8f030e03e1e2d5a7db.jpg

    Used Lightroom CC Mobile..
Pulled Hue and Saturation to 100 (reds and orange ) in the Color Mixer selecting the Grass...

With the original file and Photoshop the results could probably be better... 😉

Here's one I edited on Photoshop (Adobe Camera Raw).
just added some film grain and sharpening to this.

I do wish that OnePlus could combine the resolution of the main sensors with the colour filter. Maybe it's something they can implement digital processing/software.

If you use a dark room and a infrared bulb you can use that filter to make some creepy photos and experiment with it since the sensor captures all the infrared light. I think that option shouldn't be in the filters section but instead as a camera mode like pro or portrait, so we could tweak it and take full advantage of it, and if we had a IR blaster on the back of the phone we could fully take advantage of it! Here's some examples of when I found out that it used infrared light to measure the colours for the effect.

The IR is behind the subject.

    Spooky pic just for fun.

All these pics were taken in pitch black. No visible light source whatsoever. What do you guys think?

    Hi,

I just took a picture of my HTC Vive Base Station. I'm not sure what it does here. Is it IR? ;)
