When using the phone, the mobile signal cuts out all the time. When not using the phone, you can watch the "bars" for the mobile signal disappear and it is replaced by an 'X'. I updated the Oxygen OS (10.5.11.IN11AA) and got a new SIM card from Verizon hoping that would resolve the issue.
The phone I had previously (Pixel 3) never had any issues with the mobile signal and had full 'bars' when used in the same location.

I too am having the same continued issue. Has anybody been able to resolve it or had any troubleshooting that's worked?

Same here, I upgraded from the Oneplus 6t to the 8 just a couple weeks ago. I'm with Tmobile and suddenly my signal is spotty and often has no signal for calls and texts in certain areas of my house. NEVER had that issue on 6t.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I've had similar issues. I have the Verizon branded Oneplus 8, also coming from a Verizon Pixel 3. Since the beginning (a week ago) I've had connection issues.

    1. Cannot enable RCS Chat features, it is always stuck in the "trying to verify your number" stage and I've tried everything I've found on forums and been through the ringer of Verizon and Google tech support. I'm at the stage of trying to wait 8 days with the feature turned off and then trying again. Apparently after 8 days Google clears some sorta cache and it might work.

But the bigger deal is 2. I sometimes don't receive texts from people or texts in group chats. They sometimes never come through, or I sometimes get a message that says "incompatible file" or "file expired"

and 3. My phone will randomly drop to 1 bar of 3G or to Roaming, while my girlfriends Pixel 3 on Verizon never does, and neither did my old pixel 3.

I've been having this problem too! As a healthcare worker that relies on maintaining cell connectivity for communication with other physicians in the middle of this pandemic this is absolutely dangerous and UNACCEPTABLE!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW!!!

Same here!! This is ridiculous! Constantly restarting our two brand new Verizon OnePlus 8 phones. We just got them two weeks ago!
