OnePlus used to be known as the flagship killer, they lost that, they used to be the fastest Android phone, now not even that! Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra takes the throne

You do realise all S20 series have the same processors, same ram type and display res and same software unlike OnePlus 8 series... which means, The base S20 will perform the same as S20 ultra. Why are you even comparing the price? to come up with the "OP 8 Pro is fast enough for it's price" analogy?

Yes same processors, depending on the market. The processors used in the video above uses Snapdragon processor not Exynos.

Exynos 990 is even worse than previous generation Exynos 9820. Throttling starts in about 2 minutes up to 60% in 25-30 minutes, when you play games, lags in the os are constantly present, battery life on S20 Ultra is terrific (you're lucky if you have 4,5 - 5 hours). When you record video, it says that the temperature of your device is too high, then the smartphone reboots itself and doesn't allow to open the camera app during the next 10 mins.

I think that Samsung should stop selling their "flagships" on exynos for the same price as the snapdragon units. They should be called mid range.

Do you think OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be performing the same? don't have these smartphones to do the comparison, but pretty sure it ought to be the same.

We all know smartphones have reached a plateau... OnePlus 3T can perform really well in 2020, as we all go through those same 3 apps in our phone in repeat. These silly speed test shows what the phone is capable of and how engineering went on in hardware and software... It's like saying "You bought a Ferrari but you can never drive it upto its top speed in the street. so it's useless to put a high performance engine inside, in real life u will be driving it at the speed of a Prius."

Yes, Samsung is now faster than OnePlus. There is no use of this information, but OnePlus stating itself as flagship killer in the past and now using slogans with 'speed' well, it doesn't hold to these values anymore. Simple as that. There is nothing that makes OnePlus indifferent from other flagships, cause it's inferior to device like Samsung now in almost all terms, and the price doesn't justify it either. This video can also give a heads-up to potential phone buyers to be weary that OnePlus isn't known for speedy performance compared to Samsung, so when they shell out the near $1000, they know what they are spending on now.

I didn't see anywhere OnePlus saying 8 pro is faster than Samsung Galaxy or whatever other rival devices are there. or did they advertise it that way?
so what's the comparison for? do you buy devices which are faster in YouTube pointless comparison videos or you buy what's best needed by you?
some YouTuber makes a video to earn money and people go mad about it in internet forums..

I didn't say OnePlus stating they are faster than the other brand, but what i am saying is, they emphasize on using the slogan 'speed' in their product, in a sense advertising that it is the fastest phone out there in the market, which is not the case. The comparison is just vaguely stating OnePlus is not the fastest Android smartphone in the market, that is all. How can a person make a decision on what device to buy if they don't watch these comparison, it gives them a better idea what is better, what are the pros, or what are cons, and how each device differ from each other in different aspect. You are going out of the topic, and going circle in a meaningless conversation when i have stated twice what the video is about. Peace out.

Its been been that way for awhile now, only hype kept it in the frame. The ROG2 and Note 10+ were top dogs in the Mate 30 Pros absence and even the 20+ showed the OP a very clean pair of heals.
    Touch wiz is king.

The Note 10+ and the S10+/5G whooped the OP last year too even with the SD855. 😂😂😂 If memory serves me so did the Note 9.
