Ahhh c'mon with your cribbing. Seeing these kind of posts since old OP3 days. There were numerous reviews already, you should have thought twice before buying.

All I am saying is, get on with it. Stat enjoying your device, or just sell it off and be in peace.

Enjoy your Covid era WFH ;)

Took these this evening with the "photochrom" camera detects the IR cameras at the main entrance to the estate, now if it had been advertised as NIR and they removed it I would have been pissed but the orange and white daylight photos are only really any good for nature shots.

Because weirdos take pictures of thin bits of plastic which exposed the batteries behind it and the batteries complained about their human rights so OP had to respect the batteries right to privacy and disabled it.

On a serious note, I, as well as others, have posted the process to return this filter to your phone using Termux and approximately 10 minutes of your time (most of that is waiting for wireless ADB bugging to start).

    It works well with Termux.
The only issue is that sometimes, I need to disable and re-enable the developer option when I can not active the factory camera mode.

The difference is huge for photo quality between the original photochrom (using color sensor) and the filter added recently by OnePlus.
I definitely prefer the original photochrom.

So, I will not update my phone anymore in order to keep this feature.
Anyway, I have been highly disappointed by OnePlus :(

Once you have the factory mode press the recent button, press and hold on this screen and choose lock, it will then be accessible all the time via the recent button

I would recommend to disable the wireless adb everytime you are done, as random people can use ADB on you phone when on the same network.
What is the change that someone is looking for an wireless ADB device on an network, it is proberbly allmost 0%, but I would still disable it just for safty.

Any one know if it just the camera APK that's changed, or is there an APK blocking use of the lense, or just a config file? If any1 knows I'll see if I can update it and just upgrade to the modified app/apk

It's been adjusted in the code as far as I am aware.
