If it was like a seat massage chair for the driver and it being possible to accidently activate in some rare circumstances during driving due to a poor design choise, that caused people to loose focus on the driving and some lunatics buying for the sake of trying to use the car as a really huge vibrator... And people standing outside the car dealer holding signs and shout "No to sinful and dangerous cars". Youtubers going nuts... Possible law actions about being a dangerous cars. Well... No 😜

When there is a feature given by a company for the people to use.. i believe that disabling that feature is totally unfair. One plus should definitely bring back the photochrom filter camera.

    Hello from Belgium [e]263a[/e]️

One solution would be to find an arrangement in order to be able to reuse photochromic with the dedicated camera. For example, indicating when opening the application for the first time that inappropriate use of photochromic is prohibited and which is the user's responsibility.
Personally, claiming a refund seems naive to me and certainly not constructive.
We must make Oneplus understand that by modifying photochrome, many people feel wronged.
intentionally deactivating a part of the phone and replacing it with a half-functional solution is not a very good solution.

We deserve to have full access to the hardware we paid for. Each user is responsible for how they use a product.

Then that should be even more reason to fully restore it's function...it's just a gimmick.

Guys, switch to xaiomi mi 11 pro or galaxy s21 ultra they are both great phones. I'm not going to be a return customer to a company being shady (that I can see and feel) . I was going to get the OnePlus watch when it came out as well as the OnePlus 9 pro. I was going to be one of those customers that only buys OnePlus. However now that is not the case, they told me with actions "screw you, we want more money"

You're right, I have emailed OnePlus customer care on 2nd January and till date they have not resolved the problem. This shows how seriously they treat their loyal customers.

I don't know about you, but android 11 update has some bugs . It seems they keep getting it wrong, but they are a professional company?

Here is an article (sorry it's in French) which may explain the reason why oneplus will no longer use the photochromic sensor :
    https://phototrend.fr/2020/06/oneplus-8-pro-rayons-x-decryptage-polemique/
In summary: It is forbidden to market to the general public cameras that capture signals beyond the visible spectrum, for safety reasons. IR signals are used to transmit information or point at targets in defense activities
This probably explains the withdrawal of this feature by OnePlus.
On the other hand, an application already allows to use photochrome as before, but you have to root the oneplus.
    Have a good day !
