Oneplus 8 T-Mobile broke after update. via OnePlus 8 T-Mobile

My new OnePlus 8 in2017 worked perfect until the update to version 10.5.20.IN55CB pushed onto it. Since then I can't make outgoing calls. I noticed if I switch the phone to 3G only I can make calls. It appears to be related to Volte on the phone which can't be disabled. Anyone else have this problem?

Tmobile has spent several hours trying to help me both over phone and in store. They have a ticket elevated with their engineering department but they are leaning towards device being defective. Warranty is through manafacturer even if their update broke it. I've had a ticket with OnePlus open for 2 weeks now but no response.

I am having the same issue apparently it's not a wide enough issue yet. We all must keep calling Sprint so they can get this resolved quickly

Since it's a new update probably not enough folks are affected or reported it. My guess is some folks probably didn't install that version as well, so hopefully another software patch will come out soon to resolve.

This did not work. T-Mobile store put a new Sprint SIM into my phone. Nothing changed excepted for being $10 poorer. Lots of people complaining on Reddit about this update and not being able to make calls any more.

I'm upset that T-Mobile customers that purchased the OnePlus 8 phone aren't offered oxygen OS updates. I don't get it. One of the main reasons I purchased the OnePlus 8 was for the OxygenOS updates and ability to change the look and feel.

Even though Sprint and TMobile merged they still use different SIMs. I had Sprint before and they won't allow a T-Mobile SIM to be used for former Sprint users.

It needs to be pink and say R 15 on it...
R15: If you see R15 in pink on the SIM card, you're all set!
TMXXXX: If you see TM followed by 4 numbers, you need to switch to the new SIM !!?

It won't work for us Sprint users. That's a fix for T Mobile phones. We have different SIMs

Same company, same exact phone (IN2017) running T-Mobile software. Only former Sprint users affected by this issue. I went to the T-Mobile store and asked for a new SIM and they gave me a Sprint SIM. Their systems are not integrated.
