OnePlus 8T 5G not working via OnePlus 8T

    I live in Saudi Arabia where most of the network providers are providing 5g services. I bought this phone (OnePlus 8T) thinking I will be in the first row to experience 5g experience but it's almost 1 year and it's not working. It only shows up to 4G. One of my friend he bought Nord and it's working 5g in his phone.

    When can I get 5G in OnePlus 8T??

    Isn't it a scam guys? 🙏🙏🙏

    You should check with your provider to see whether they support the 5G bands on the 8T variant that you have

    Will add to this that having the same bands isn't always enough. The device needs to be certified with the carrier too :)

    You can only use 5G if
    1. Your service provider is providing the service in your area.

    2. You phone can receive bandwidth your service provider is using.

    3. Your service provider has approved your specific model on their list of 5G phones.

    You need to check these points with your service provider.

    You can find which bandwidth your phone receives from customer services if you need.

    There was a guy from Saudi a few months ago who asked the same question. On checking with his provider, he confirmed his Oneplus model did not meet criteria 3, ie the service provider did not have it on their list of approved models. I presume if you check with your service provider, they may say the same thing.
