Hi All, I just had an awful experience with OnePlus; I bought it directly from the OnePlus 7T. I was 100% sure the phone is a dual sim. Actually, they sent me an American model with a single sim. Does anyone know WTF? When OnePlus started to make crap with a single sim card? Or is it only in the USA? I didn't even know that OnePlus does a single sim card. Now, I requested a refund of that shit. I have learned my lesson and trying to understand what is the correct model for the phones. So the question is, what is the correct model of the OnePlus 8T phone (2 sim cards, international version)?
I did an internet lookup, and it looks like model KB2005 is the international dual-sim. Is it correct? Sorry for being paranoid, but I don't want to buy the wrong model again.

    Hey there!

The following model numbers for 8T exist.

    OnePlus 8T model numbers

    - KB2000 (Chinese variant)
    - KB2001 (Indian variant)
    - KB2003 (European variant)
    - KB2005 (International variant)
    - KB2007 (T-Mobile variant)

    OS releases

    - KB05AA: International software (Global)
    - KB05BA: European software
    - KB05DA: Indian software
    - KB09CB: T-Mobile software (carrier locked)

    Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlus8T/comments/k02xen/kb2003_vs_kb2005/

I do know for a fact that KB2003(NA) and KB2001(IN) are Dual SIM. Not sure about the EU version. The above list classifies KB2003 as EU while during the previous OS update, OnePlus classified it as NA.

Thanks all for the replies, OnePlus became a shit company almost like most of them. What they need to do is 1 model (international) with 2 sim card. That's it. Nothing else. They do everything wrong...

The problem here is that even OnePlus trying to sell shit (single sim card) phones from their website. I found few phones OP 8T on eBay model KB2005 (International) but on the box there is only 1 IMEI number for the single sim card! So it looks like I need to check every phone before I buy whether it has 2 IMEIs at the back of the box! What a crap! OnePlus really annoys me!!!

Oh okay. That's quite unfortunate to hear about your experience. Is it possible for you to seek help from any of the OnePlus office stores, offline or online, or probably from T-Mobile itself?

If you have purchased from an authorised online store then you can ask for a replacement until the return or replacement period is not already over.

Most probably some major bug as irrespective of the model or variant all the 8T versions all dual sim only.

Just one query, sorry if it may sound absurd...

you do have checked the both top & bottom side of the sim tray as there's only a single sim size tray in the 8T where the top & bottom both works separately and as a dual sim tray.

The SIM problem I am having is with OnePLus's website.
They list the 8T T-Mobile version as "Dual nano-SIM slot" (assuming model KB2007) but chat support claims it is a Singe SIM.

The Unlocked version is also listed as "Dual nano-SIM slot".
They Give No Model Numbers on the OnePlus website either -- frustrating.

I'm trying desperately to learn the other differences in specifications between the two models, I guess we can't trust the specs on the website.

I'll be using the handset primarily on T-Mobile US, international sometimes.
