    Hey everyone,

Hope you all had an relaxing weekend, because things are about to get exhilarating soon enough! A few days back, OnePlus started teasing the upcoming OnePlus 8T Launch Event on social media platforms and well, today, we officially have a release date and I couldn't be more excited!

The previous flagship, OnePlus 8 Pro, was quite well received by most of the community, especially with the brand-new camera system, which in my opinion is rivaling with the best in the market! I had the priviledge to be a part of the Lab review squad for the second time (speaking of which, you should apply for the new edition
    here
), which made the 8 series all the more special for me. Sure, there were a few hurdles but we all collectively made efforts to overcome and things are much better now!

Now that we finally have a release date for the OnePlus 8T, I'm really curious to know what you guys expect/predict about the upcoming lineup of devices. I've come across a few rumors and leaks as well, which point towards even faster and smoother overall performances than the already existing OnePlus 8 series.

Surfing online, I found that although there isn't gonna be a massive bump in any department except the battery and charging speed, there are going to be a lot of tweaks and tricks, which is essentially the purpose of the "T series" flagships: to perfect the already existing devices released that year. I don't expect any huge design changes, but maybe we could see flatter edges, as that has been a trend in recent smartphone releases. Here are the specs floating around the web:

    Rumored info:

    • Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ Mobile CPU with Adreno 650 GPU
    • A quad rear camera set up, similar to the OnePlus 8 series
    • 32-MP front camera
    • 4,500 MaH with whopping 65W (Ultra?) warp charging
    • 8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM
    • Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11

    Confirmed info:

    • Launch is on Oct 14, 2020 at 10:00AM EDT / 3PM BST / 4PM CEST / 7:30PM IST
    • Flat 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display (Source)
    • 65 W fast charging, giving a day's charge in 15 mins! That's insane! (Source)

Oh before I forget, @YRJ specifically asked me to include this render by his favorite tech influencer @ishanagarwal24 JK, the credits actually belong to @Some_Random_Username
    for the render!

Jokes aside, here's the actual source

Out of all the rumored specs, I'm the most excited about the brand-new and upgraded charging speeds. Warp charge is already more than fast enough for me, and coming from 20W fast charging on my previous phone, this is totally a different ball game! A few phones on the market already have 65W fast charging features, but they often lag behind OnePlus when it comes to battery and charging optimizations, which I'm sure is gonna be the case this time as well.

Lemme know what you guys think the upgrades would be, the person to get all specifications correct gets - wait for it - bragging rights! Sorry folks, it's my first thread here on the Writer's Club and @dsmonteiro wouldn't let me give away free stuff already. As always, Never Settle!

Happy to hear about the launch, but can we also take care of the old members in rhe family? 1+5 has been facing crazy challenges & we just happen to hear that there are a few more days /months we need to live with it...

Yeah the device will definitely have 120 Hz panel . If you look closely at the render the device looks very similar to the realme x7 pro which brings 120hz at an affordable price, this should also mean that the 8t will have a flat display.

I believe we might have a different camera layout judging by the recent leaks.

Any ideas on wireless charging speeds? Given 30w wireless on the 8 Pro, would we see that on the 8T, or are they going to blow our freakin' minds with some 50-60w wireless? How ridiculous would that be?

144hz Display. Faster charger. Better camera(64mp main camera). Bigger battery for more than a day. More interstellar color scheme.
