Network/Connectivity OnePlus 8T randomly losing signal/network/4g/5g

    Same issue on my oneplus 8T on the Telia network (Sweden). I believe that the issue with dropped connection got worse after latest update was installed

    I have the same problem with A1 and EDUCOM dual sim here in austria. I was always a oneplus fan since OP3T days but this unresolved problem and no word from the support makes me want to switch to a pixel or something other root friendly brand.

    I experienced the issue two times already within one week of use (OP8 256/12, latest firmware). The device loses cellular connectivity (emergency calls only, empty reception bar with an "x" inside it), sometimes it will go back on to hsdpa (3.5g) instead of 4g/5g and then back to no reception at all. Switching flight mode on and off won't solve this, the only solution is to restart the device or shut it down and then back on.
    Given the fact that this thread is quite old, my guess is that this issue will not be addresses by OP.

    Same here (Educom+8T), connection lost after random amount of time. Frustrating and there is no help at all.

    FYI - It looks like disabling VoLTE does the job in my case. The trigger to this issue seems to be cellular/coverage related but it's also device related. Limiting the device to 2g/3g networks might also work but it's not my cup of tea. I'd rather have 4g/5g if these are stable.

    Well after LOS showing the same problems, decided to downgrade to original OS and cleared partition cache. Before that check my other posts did everything else possible.
    So 3rd day no problems. Also provlems for me started after i started upgrades so its either that or the partition cache clearing.

    Note that after i switched to LOS havent had any problems for a week so still chance it's gonna happen again.

    **Update** - Disabling VoLTE didn't fix the issue. Now I'm trying to force 2g/3g only. I can't believe that I have to fiddle with these settings in 2021 with device which was released in 2020.

    Same problem with 8t in UK on EE. bought 3 months ago, updated 3 times since with incremental and full updates, at some point problem seemed solved for 5 days than back to "normal". sent to service centre 2 months ago, came back with a note saying a software update was performed, nothing about a problem being detected and fixed, lost signal next day. Emailed support 3 times in the last 3 weeks, no reply. First time using OnePlus, will ask for a refund through my credit card as this is unbelievable

    The current beta has massively worsened the whole situation for me.
    At home in my apartment I lose the connection every 2-3 hours.
    VoWIFI doesn't work reliably either, which is why I miss a lot of calls.

    In the car, I always lose the connection 100% of the time.

    On about 25km drive I have to 4-5 times in flight mode or restart the phone.

    SIM card, by the way, without problems. The S20 FE, which is here with me, works absolutely perfect.

    i was facing the same issues (after updating to [EU] randmoly losing network connection all 5 minutes...) and i was just about to reset my 8t. But then it just came into my mind and i removed the sim, reseted the APN settings, restarted the phone, put the sim back in and now i seems to be okay (at least until now).
    Let me know if this helps you too.
    Edit: not perfect (jumps from 4G+ to H+ to 3G and then back again without any reason, as i am staying at the same position and sometimes i just don´t have any internet) but it's an improvement in my case.

    I'm having the same issues. Seems to mostly happen when I am on the train and I go through poor signal areas. The signal will eventually be lost and doesn't return until I reboot.

    Now i tried:
    Settings > System > Options for reseting > reset Wlan, mobile Data & Bluetooth (maybe it´s named a bite different as i don´t use the english OS). Seems to be an improvement, i´ll keep you updated.

    Happens to me in a bad signal area. If it loses signal, it never recovers. Reboot only option. EE UK
