Oneplus 9 and 9 pro refresh rate at 120 hz is causing WhatsApp content scrolling bad impact.
Refresh rate drops as part of oneplus' dynamic changing rate feature but its not re-adjusting enough for WhatsApp scrolling
    Causing eyes to suffer
When you scroll vigorously up down then only it adjusts somewhat
    Plz report this

This is NOT a problem with WhatsApp, this is a not so we'll known problem with the 9 Pro. In-app scrolling is not up to par on this phone. YouTube is another app that suffers from the same scrolling problem that does not happen on any other phone. The S21 Ultra does not have these same scrolling problems. Hopefully OnePlus will do fix it soon.

Even I have faced this problem severely. The same issue is there with a few other apps also. I think it's the device software issue. I request OnePlus to roll out an efficient update ASAP.

I love The scrolling on apps like facebook and Instagram and I expect the same to be with Whatsapp and others apps as well.

Scrolling on YouTube happens at 60 hz on the 9 Pro. Hope OnePlus resolves the issue ASAP.

I am also facing same problem in oneplus 9pro
My most of time is used in whatsapp & for amooth functioning, i bought oneplus 9pro high end smartphone.

But what's the use if we face such problems.
My staff has normal 200 usd oppo phone, & his WhatsApp running smoother than mine.
I also switched to 60hz refresh rate, but in vain.

It actually looks more like 30-40Hz. Even 60Hz looks better than what I experienced.

Oh boy!.. we can force 120hz using adb command. If whatsapp doesn't support it, then also it should run in 60 right??? It's definitely a oos issue I think..

You can always force something. If WhatsApp devs enabled it by default, you wouldn't need to force it.

Maybe. I think it's an Oxygen OS feature. I'd X2 pro before..and it had 90hz on whatsapp.

I'm having the same issue, happens with Whatsapp, Youtube, google shelf, google photos and i'm pretty sure other apps have the same issue... will try forcing 120hz to see if the issue is resolved, but i'm pretty disappointed on this one... This is not a cheap phone, as users we expect the best of the experiences at this price tag. One Plus 9 Pro user here.
