Camera OnePlus 9 CAMERA HANGS!!!!!

    NickNicolas , Dec 1, 2021 :
I just bought OnePlus 9 5G and I thought the camera was great. But after trying the new features of it like the macro zoom, 0.6x zoom (Photo), and I don't know what else, the camera hangs!!! and closes. Really!? I was a OnePlus 6 user before and its camera was just fine! But the OnePlus9 camera is way way worse! I thought the camera, with this Hasselblad, will be way better and improved but it's NOTHING!

I updated my android version to 11. I don't know if the problem already exists before updating or it just came up after (didn't try the camera features before updating). Fix this or I will demand for replacement! ASAP!

And whenever I open my hidden space, the phone hangs or sometimes it takes time to open it.

I already performed the troubleshooting steps OnePlus suggested and nothing changes!

No worries, it's a common mistake. Cache and data of the camera app and the launcher or in recovery?

in recovery. These are the steps they told me to do...

Step 1: Power off the device and press the volume down and power buttons simultaneously for 15-20 seconds
Step 2: Select the Language as "English"
Step 3: The recovery screen will appear on the display
Step 4: Select "Wipe data & cache"
Step 5: You will have three options stating “Reset system settings”, “Erase everything” and “Wipe cache”
    Step 6: Select "Wipe cache”
    Step 7: Select “Yes”

Ah, okay. You can try clearing cache and data of the camera app and cache of the launcher too, to see if that helps speed up things with the camera and stops the phone from hanging in hidden space and reboot the phone afterwards. What launcher version are you on?

Make sure you update the OOS to 11.2.10.10, the one with November security patch. That's the newest one, few issues will be present if you are on older versions. If issues are still there in camera, clear the cache of your camera app, also make sure you have also given necessary permissions for the camera app.

No worries.👍 You can try the new update first, forgot about that one and if that fixes your issues it'll be a lot easier then the other suggestions. Good luck.🤞
