depends on what apps you are using really. app usage battery stats would help better understand the problem
he seems to be using a 9 pro

When will you start believing that this mobile do have a battery issue. I can assure it does!

I still love due to other factors.. :)

But I am not sure of going to next OnePlus major upgrades due to its merger with Oppo.

A lot depends on how they are going to keep us (9 Pro) lot quiet.

Well... I can have 6-11h SoT with my use. So not a problem for me.
There are many factors that matters.

I do love this phone for lot's of it's features apart from the draining part..
But still draining is making me lill concerned.. I use WhatsApp and other calls for almost 3.30hrs out of 4.30hrs of screen usage time.

That was quite a lot. I don't really know how power hungry WhatsApp is since I barely use it (have it only to replicate bugs). If most or all that time is video calls I can assume it's rather resource demanding. Same type of use on a older phone was much less drain? What phone was that? If it's not a combination of software, current WhatsApp version or Oxygen OS 11 it could be a combination of power draw from screen and SoC.

I've also seen WhatsApp act crazy and do a ton of drain even as idle on several phones.

You could report this to both WhatsApp and Oneplus to see if something abnormal might be behind your drain.

It's not exactly uncommon with drain apparently.

Not sure if you got same mobile as we got.. 11 hrs of SOT, unimaginable!!

Just need one input from you, is C GG 5, scratch proof. Just removed the screen guard OnePlus gave. Is it necessary to get a tempered glass??

Different usage, apps and config can make a big difference.

Any glass can be scratched with hard enough materials. All it needs a hard enough particle in your pocket and it may happen.
Just look at some Jerryrigeverything videos and you see that the number or name of Gorilla glass does not make a extreme difference with his hardness picks.
They all have to balance scratch resistance and shatter resistance.

So if you need a screenprotector or not... Well, do you find them looking good and give a good feel?
I removed mine due to a bubble in a corner.... And I got a scratch one day.
But I hate badly mounted screen protection, dust and bubbles and worse touch... So I choose to pay a fee for any damage the devices have I turn them in and upgrade. And I have insurance that covers most.
So, if you find a good screen protector that fits nicely and don't make touch worse, then probably it's worth it.

Set it like 2016? I use 120 Hz and QHD+ and auto brightness. I even force some apps at 120 Hz at the same time as I'm limiting some to 60 Hz (personal preferences). I have WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile networks ALWAYS on, even if not charging during the night... NEVER battery saving mode unless urgent need of some reason. No power saving routine or anything. I just optimize it for my use.
What's 2016 about that? Or am I misunderstanding something?
