OnePlus 9 Pro - Local Update - Android 12 Jan 21, 2022

    Where's the OnePlus 9 Pro Local Update take place now in Android 12?
    Before, in Android 11, the path was: Settings > System > System Updates > Settings Icon on top right corner > Local Upgrade.
    After, in Android 12, this path is no longer avaiable. How to peform a local update in Android 12?

    Oh, okay. Well, it isn't a guaranteed fix though, for some that didn't work so. But if you plan on downgrading to Oxygen OS 11, i would try a factory reset first. Downgrading will wipe your data anyway and maybe the factory reset can help, although for some it again didn't help with 5G, so no guarantees there either. And try swapping sim slots after that too, if it's still not working you can always downgrade after that.

    The option to local upgrade isn't available anymore. But what you can do is to install the update APK tool from open beta thread and use that.

    Many users, like me, use Oxygen Updater app to download the early stable or bèta releases.
    Now the local update functionality is missing, this is not possible anymore.
    Please release this function again.

    You can install this APK, this is the old system updater with local upgrade option
    https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk
    The file will probably end with .zip so you'll have to rename it and delete .zip so it ends with APK. After that install it and it will be in your app drawer as a separate app

    Than it is most likely not installed. If you follow the steps after downloading (deleting .zip from the file name so it has APK at the end) and install it successfully it will be an app in the app drawer. It will look like this (marked with the arrow):

    Do you get some sort of an error message? What are the steps you did from when you downloaded the file?
    It should work without a problem, just installed it again myself

    Now its works from file manager. I renamed it yesterday in downloads but not works. Now it's good. Shuld I try the newer beta android 12 for working 5G or downgrade to 11 is the best methode?

    What exact version of Oxygen OS 12 do you have now? Do you get the 5g option in the preferred network settings?

    I have 5G option now, but not working. Before 12 I don't have the option but I updated the moded carrier_policy.xml file and with *#4636*# switched to 5g. Now in 12 I can't put the phone to engineering mode to change the file.

    That's the latest stable version that was released. There are a lot of users who put their Sim in sim slot 2 and got 5G again. If not already, i would try that first before downgrading to Oxygen OS 11.
