    Hello Community.

I was just lying in bed and my OnePlus 9 Pro slipped out of my hand. It landed on my stomach, was a fall of about six inches. (15 cm)

Now the smartphone makes strange noises when I move or shake it. It sounds like something is loose. You can also feel that something is shaking inside and out, and it's pretty loud.

I use protective film and a case

I'm afraid that something might be broken. Does somebody has any idea?

I just noticed that the entire picture on the camera has been consumed. The ultra-wide-angle camera in particular causes problems. It's all completely wrong and it's very distorted.

Unless that was a six-pack comparable to a rock hard muscles by extreme training that should be a rather soft landing 😜
Unless something happened to it at some other point the sounds you hear would be the camera module. Both auto focus and OIS involves moving parts. During shaking they can move by them self's. However you say it sounds even when moving it. Normal movement should not make a sound.

Yes, I photographed a tablet here, for example. You can clearly see that the picture is distorted. I've also tried the whole thing indoors, but I don't want to post these pictures here.

Yes, while the smartphone is moving, you can feel that something is wobbling back and forth

It sounds like something is damaged in the camera module. Falling 15 cm onto your stomach would barely compare to holding it in your hands and shake it once.
If this drop indeed damaged it I'd would say something must have been defect right from the begining. That small fall should not break anything.

Okay. I'll just wait and see, maybe it'll work by itself again

Hi there, it could be OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) module that wobbles and it is normal which happens for other devices too,

If there always is a sound even when moving gently and all photos has become a lot worse and hard to focus on same firmware as before something may have happened.
    Greetings from Sweden.
