But the same c2c cable worked fine in my gaming desktop though.

I think it is something related to OnePlus which is restricting the phone to detect the laptops??

Or I am not sure though.

My 9 Pro connects fine on my laptop, make sure you have installed the Qualcomm drivers and check device manager on the laptop to see if there are any driver issues after connecting.

Also check this website to see if any of the suggestions can help.

Some may need a USB 3.1 Gen1 cable to get stable connections. The cable that come with is USB 2.0.
Some computers seems to be more cranky than others about the speed.

No stock cable is not only for charging. It does transfer files in the desktop. Only with laptop it is not detecting.

My guess is , 9 pro is considering the laptop port only as the power source not the data transfer hub.

Well... It "can" connect for data perfectly fine for many. But if the computer insists on trying to run 3.1 GEN1 speeds on it it will fail and might disconnect. So this can make it work fine on some ports but bad on others. A real 3.1 GEN1 cable would surely make it work on the laptop too.

It is the same spec on my laptop and in my desktop. Still fails in laptop in c to c port. Works in type A to c though.

In desktop works on both cables

Seen similar differences between computers. Some work some don't of some reason. Various types of controllers may be a factor.

Having the same issue with my 9 pro. Tried using a different c-c cable, same problem.

Works with USB c-a but not the included c-c.

    Definitely a bug. Please help.

Is your A ports USB 2.0? How about your C port? Any 3.1 GEN1 cable available for testing? I have one of those to maximize connectivity (phone port is 3.1 GEN1.. Not the stock cable)

USB A is 3.1 Port and C is also 3.1. It's not a cable issue because it works when using my OnePlus 5 but doesn't with the 9 pro

Well... Note that 5 has a USB 2.0 port and never need anything better than a USB 2.0 cable.
Some have major issues depending on used port. Same speed port but on a other computer may work due to a different USB controller. So strange things happen.

Drivers / connection speed failing due to different behavior of the USB ports. Try a USB 3.1 GEN1 cable if you have one.

Atleast it's working for you on another laptop. I tried 8 different laptops from various manufacturers. No connection.
