OnePlus Buds cause ear skin infaction due to bad quality of material. via OnePlus 7 Pro

    I contacted OnePlus support through Email and twitter, No response yet. I bought OnePlus buds for ₹4999 and paid ₹6000 for treatment of ear infaction due to OnePlus Buds. I got the medical certificate for the same also. OnePlus used bad quality material for cost cutting and now no customer support. Would I buy any OnePlus product after this in future?

    From last 1 week my ears are itching and hurting while using left buds...
    Also, my ears had a cut, because of improper finishing on lower side of bud.

    Ok, haven’t seen too many people complaining about that tbh, then again, didn't read much on ear buts tbh. I'd say normally the materials used are certified I presume. In which case it would be difficult to just pin point the material as being the cause. Using ear buts can enhance certain conditions, that's for sure. Also a certain care should take place like regular cleaning them not wearing them for too long and stuff like that.

    Ear buts is like closing up an space that's normally open. It's like a Petri dish with a lid on it

    Yeah true. Material is not the issue. But the rough surface in the bottom of earbud near the stem might cause issue.

    That could well be, forgot to mention that. These things just should happen and should be avoided by design or QA.

    Yes definitely there is some surface finish issues with the buds, for me it hurts the upper part of the ear at the end of the top speaker, the speaker cut's end is coinciding with the inner-top ear bone and hurts a lot, I am not willing to apply for RMA as I read some issues with the customer service not responding and, also tried my self contacting them through the website earlier this week and waited for nearly 20 minutes but no response, even though it is possible to apply for RMA i am not sure, I think the replacement will also have the same flaw because its a design issue, is this just my ear or someone else having this problems let me know if you have any.

    edit : i am having a gray version, i am not getting any infections, the top speaker notch just hurts the skin.

    It's material issue or finishing issue, but these buds are not usable after spending ₹4999. And No option to return it. Because service center can replace the product if there is problem in the product. Service center is not even considering the issue I'm facing right now.
