OnePlus Buds Z Annoying Faulty Wear Detection Nov 18, 2020 via OnePlus 5T

    The wear detection feature which is supposed to pause the music when we take any bud out of the ear and play it as soon as we re-place the bud is too sensitive.
    The audio playback randomly pauses even if the buds displace just a little in the ear. It's unbearably annoying and even if OnePlus can't fix it, atleast they should give an option to disable this feature.

    Anyone else facing this issue?

    [Edit (28 Dec 2020)]: A new update was pushed out, but the problem still persists and no option to disable the feature is provided. Disappointing.

    I am definitely also experiencing this. It seemed to be fine when I first got them but now a couple days later I can't watch youtube or play music with them because they pause and resume every 30 seconds or so. I'd love to even disable the wear detection somehow but it doesn't appear that I can do that. I'm also considering covering the sensor with a sticker or something.

    Second day and it's getting annoying already. Please give us the option to disable this feature.

    It's impressive how these features that take control of the product's behavior are not optional in 2020.

    Still no comment or update from OnePlus, is this bug in a backlog somehwere? I'm very sceptical about their processes around testing or potentially deploying scary hotfixes. These kind of disastrous bugs should never go into production and shelf-items. If that catastrophe happens... DEPLOY A FIX.

    I have had auto-update ON for months, still no update. Pause pause....

    I mean if they don't want to fix it, just give us an option to just disable the damn feature.

    Yeah, its very sensitive even am facing the same issue and after a certain point it gets very annoying :(:(

    Many thanks for your response and for sharing the link. The problem many users are experiencing is not listed under the link.
    - I have tried resetting my buds, without any change or success (actually made it worse which I do not understand).

    What everyone wants is to be ablet to manually disable the "Wearing Detection"-feature, it would solve the immediate problem.

    This question was already put to me when I reviewed Bud's, but I don't have this issue. I don't have the bud's Z... Maybe is something related to Z?
