Venom_SK , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Sep 28, 2021 : I got OnePlus Bud Z 2 days ago. I tried calling with it and everyone complained that I was not audible. Then I tried the recorder app and found OnePlus buds z are not using their mic. Even when connected mobile's mic is being used. I'm using OnePlus 7t pro and this has been the worst experience. Have anyone found any solution?
Liehjan , Sep 29, 2021 : Have you tried to reset the buds? And also check for new firmware? Does audio come normally through the buds?
Venom_SK , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Oct 8, 2021 : Yes I've tried resetting em'. Audio comes fine. Only mic issues. I checked in recorder app too. Only Mobile's mic is Activated.
Venom_SK , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Oct 16, 2021 : I can't because I'm In Pakistan and there is no support of OnePlus. I contacted em' and they said wait for firmware update then may be that'll resolve the issue.
Liehjan , Oct 16, 2021 : You should be able to get a replacement from the store where you bought them. I'm not so sure a software update will fix your issue... It sounds more like a hardware issue to me.
Venom_SK , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Oct 20, 2021 : I actually won em' in SOOP contest. And they were delivered from china by OnePlus. I confirmed it was not hardware issue because When I Connect em' to my laptop and use mic of buds. Mic works perfectly fine.
erika817 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 7, 2021 : I experienced the same issue on my Buds Z. The mic simply wasn't working. I was able to fix this by turning on the "TTY" feature, found in the call settings. I performed this on my 8t. Hope it works for u.
erika817 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 9, 2021 : Was the "TTY" feature already on? If yes, then perhaps try turning it off. When I was originally troubleshooting the mic issue for my budz, I came across an online thread that directed me to turn the TTY feature OFF. However, upon opening the settings, I found that the TTY feature was already off, at which point I decided to try turning it ON to see if it would help at all. It worked for me, despite being opposite of the direction I was given from the thread. Maybe try toggling TTY/restarting. Sorry I can't be of more help lol It's frustrating that the mic issue doesn't seem to have a universal fix. Good luck homie
Venom_SK , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Dec 11, 2021 : It was off already. I tried turning it on then again off. Didn't work. Thanks a lot for trying to help but yeah there is no fix. I hope new firmware update (if there will be) will fix it. Good Luck too <3.
