Oneplus care diagnosis shows faulty earphone port even when my earphones are working properly Oct 11, 2019

    So I heard about the oneplus extended warranty and downloaded oneplus care app. In the diagnosis it always shows earphones port is faulty. Would it be happening because there is no 3.5 mm jack in 6t?
    If anyone has noticed this then please share your thoughts. I have attached a screenshot of diagnosis for reference.

    Just wanted to know if others get the same result. Then it would be clear that it's due to absence of the headphone jack.

    EVEN I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM , I ALSO HAVE A ADDITIONAL ISSUE THAT MY EARPHONE WORK ON ONE SIDE , IF I PRESS THEM IN FRONT DIRECTION THEY STOP WORKING , PLEASE TELL ME THE REASON

    I think you should visit the service center for this issue, as the charging port doubles up as a headphone jack it tends to get loose.

    Will it be covered under warranty or not? If not than I will buy bluetooth speakers instead of getting my repaired . Do they also reset the mobile for diagnosis as I have to backup it. And do they charge for checking the phone under warranty , my warranty ends on november 2 2019

    No, you won't be charged for the repair. As it's a hardware issue they won't reset your phone, but to be on a safe side just take a backup. And if you don't want your phone to be reset just inform them that you only want the hardware issue to be fixed and don't want your phone to be reset.

    If you are an Indian then you can get free one year extended warranty by downloading oneplus care app. Search Google for free extended warranty for oneplus. Do it before your warranty expires

    If it's under warranty it's usually free. They will inform you if you would have to pay. And If you don't want to pay then just get your mobile back from them they won't charge you anything for diagnostics as phone's under warranty

    Any update after you visited OnePlus service centre ...Even my OnePlus 7t pro and OnePlus 7t have same diagnosis earphones seems to faulty . Kindly update here your experience

    Haven't had a chance to visit service center. It's probably due to absence of 3.5 mm jack so don't worry.

    Hey I have the correct answer.
    This doesn't recognize a typc c bullets. You can try the type c to. 3.5mm connector. It will show correctly
