Hi everyone,
I’ve spent close to 3 years working with the OnePlus community in India and I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity. I will soon be leaving and shifting to my hometown in Mumbai to focus on my long term goals and new opportunities.
In my time here, I’ve been able to learn and work with our amazing community team (Amanda, David Y, David M, Crystal, Trista, Ruby, Zach) and also work on some remarkable projects with the marketing team at OnePlus India.
But most of all, I value my time spent with the OnePlus community in India and across the world. I’m glad to have been engaging and growing together with a group of people who are genuinely passionate about seeing the best outcomes for OnePlus. Over countless interactions and conversations, I’ve truly been able to learn more from the community and work towards building the best OnePlus experience possible.
Want to thank our team of ever-responsive moderators for watching over the India subforum, always helping out and keeping the experience as smooth as possible.
@camohan,
@OALEXANDER,
@Funk Wizard,
@Param Kharoud.
And of course, all our creative forum members - you continue to surprise us with your contributions - in photography, writing, videography, and other forms.
Finally, all the community members I’ve met at our various offline interactions. Some of you have gone on to be a part of core community groups, always sharing feedback and speaking to the team. Thanks for being a part of this journey - you know who you are
Work at OnePlus is fast-paced and dynamic and so my experiences have also been numerous and ever-changing. But I’d love to share a few of my favorite ones with you: (in no particular order)
- The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition Launch, India.
This was my first day at work. Just a glimpse of the things to come. Also where I first worked with @Ron Bhuyan - the guy who introduced me to my community role.
- Community Mods Meet 2019
I had only heard our awesome team of Forums Moderators and had a few conversations here and there but this is the first time I got to meet and interact with them in person and develop my understanding of forums as a whole. Big love to the HQ community team for organizing this so flawlessly.
- Open Ears Forum: Product in India
The first Open Ears Forum in India, and as a lot of people say, the best Open Ears Forum in India. Also, my first interaction with some our oldest and most loyal community members in India. @CosmicPaladin, @Harichand_Raghavan, Karanveer and some of the other veterans who continue to contribute to OnePlus.
This is also the first time I met with @Manu J. and started a series of activities to bring the community and our product team closer.
- Guinness World Record for the most number of unboxings

Can’t miss this one. One day after the OnePlus 6T launch, the community came together under one roof to break a record for the most number of simultaneous unboxings. This was insane - no other way to describe it.
- OnePlus 7 Series Launch
My favorite OnePlus launch in India, where we hit our home ground, Bangalore. @Dibyajyoti Deb and I worked with Carl and our wonderful keynote team to introduce the OnePlus 7 Series to India!
- United By Hope
One of my favorite Shot on OnePlus video projects this year, where we shot a documentary during the lockdown. Definitely one of the most challenging projects I’ve taken on here. But also had the absolute pleasure of having @keithnyc on board!
- OnePlus Domin8

We’d just launched the OnePlus 8 Series in India, but we were all under strict lockdown. With Domin8, we got the community to play alongside some pro gamers and cricketers. Pulling this off was a lot of fun.
There’s a lot more that took place - From pop-ups and store openings to Meet Ups, AMAs, unboxings, launches, and even a music festival!
I truly believe what we have here is something unseen in other OEM brands. And the constant support of the community has played a huge role in this successful journey. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you. It’s been an amazing three years.
I will still be in touch, and you’ll definitely see me hanging around here and at community events.
Before I leave, I’m proud to introduce
@Saswat Deb Barman as the new Community Specialist for OnePlus India. He has successfully led our student community operations for 2 years and now will be assuming my duties. Wish you all the best!
I say goodbye knowing that I’m going to expect the best for OnePlus, the community, and for myself. Take care everyone, it’s been an honor.
Never Settle.
