Don't think they are in it for the fun though. They build devices that work and therefore sell.

The OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't seem to work as intended, and on top of that you want them to make a foldable phone?

I have a 6T now and it works like a charm. What's the biggest issue with the 7 Pro?

50% of the users are busy arguing about the camera quality and the rest are busy debugging the root cause of "ghost touches" & other abnormal stuff. And I'm here trying to figure out why the fcuk the Horizon Light doesn't seem to work!!

Come back with that question in another 5 years.

If you think companies can or should just make something like that just "for fun" , then you're pretty stupid.

    Bye.

Foldable phones today , are a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. They will dominate the headlines next year and perhaps the year after that, and then they'll go the way of 3D televisions and portable VR.

From a usability perspective, the bigger the screen
size on a device the more utility it offers. Text is
easier to read, videos easier to see, and touch screens
require less exacting precision from their users.

From a portability perspective though, the smaller
    the screen size the better.

    People want phones that they
can slip into a pocket, and obviously that puts a hard
ceiling on how big a screen can get. And if you're
carrying something everywhere with you, you need
it to be durable. Large screens are more easily
distorted and broken, and as such require more
    protection from every day use.

For now , it seems Foldable phones will take time to mature !

WHATS YOUR TAKE ? IS FOLDABLE PHONE A PRACTICAL THING IN 2019?

My view is that foldable phones are more than a future trend. Key to convincing the buying public to invest in one is that the device can replace a tablet and phone.

Current the cost of buying a folding phone is prohibitive for many, thus in lieu of lowering the cost (for now) the ability to market it as a 2 in 1 kind of device makes sense.

I'm not convinced just yet however am excited for what the future brings!
