I'm visiting this thread after ages, and all i can tell you is that .... Well, people are somehow welcoming the loss of 3.5mm jack.
Thanks to Type-C earphones, and now, the Type-C Bullets.
It's awesome, and I like it more than bullets v2.

So ya, maybe someday everyone will get used to no headphone jack.

The only problem i see in future will be playing mobile games, that too while charging the phone.
Wireless headphones don't work properly in games which require voice chat...

Take a manufacturing class next year in 10th grade and come back and let me know if every component is,in the end, evaluated on those two levels.

Anxious to hear you're answer after you educate yourself.

Jesus Christ, leave the headphone jack in the past! People clinging on to old technology just harms the development of new technology. Bluetooth earphones will improve over time but the market needs to shift in that direction for it to be funded. I say good job to OnePlus [e]1f44d[/e]

I do need a headphone jack, I use it a lot while charging and like expensive earphones that you can't use on Bluetooth. My 3t is asking for retirement and wanted to buy another 1+ but the 6t is not an option. I either find a good offer on the 6 or just leave 1+. Is there any news about the 7? Don't think the jack will be back and if so, I might as well skip the 6 and just focus on brands that still have jack.

I bought the phone without realizing it does not have headphone jack.... I owned 3T before this and was a happy one plus user ...but this no headphone jack is a pain to deal with... I mean who in the world would have to keep charging headphone also on top of charging a phone ... I mean technology is supposed to make life easier not uncomfortable and crappy... I really want to sell this phone ... i am far too disappointed to talk more ...I just wasted my money

really ? so now we should wait for technology to improve but meanwhile we should still be paying the price for this crap?? it's not as if people don't know about Bluetooth headphones... people chose to stay away from them...but now one plus is FORCING it's community to accept their stupid decisions ...

Wireless earphones are craps. The overpraised bluetooth bullets is mediocre uncomfortable stuff. The magnetic auto on/off could make you have miss calls, because if the bullets separated you cant hear your phone ringing. The magnetic attachment easily separating in your neck for a stronger impact behind your sweatshirt or scarf and it turning on Bluetooth mode and speaker won't ring.
The bass is weak. And all this for 70€!

    Back after some time.
My mind has not changed. I got A pair of wireless earbuds to use at the gym and I find them much better now no cable hanging down. I have two pairs so always got battery life even tho with the use I use everyday last me and just charge up at the end of the day.

What is the point of having A 3.5 jack bluetooth USB C port that can all do the same job. I understand if you have expensive headphones and want to keep them A cheap dongle is not going to do you any harm.

This Community just seems to find anything to moan about.

I'm just saying what is the point of having all three things that do the same job (OnePlus prob thinking the same way). people saying the headphone jack is a big los when it really ain't if there is other means to get audio out

Lesson learnt, do better research before your next purchase. Happily there are still some manufacturers providing the 3.5mm jack (Sammy, LG and honor off the top off my head) although how long they will continue to do so remains to be seen.
