OnePlus left a Backdoor that allows root access without unlocking Bootloader!

    Hi! It has also been featured on XDA Developers (OnePlus Accidentally Pre-Installed an App that acts as a Backdoor to Root Access), where you can find some more info on how to root your device from ADB through EngineerMode.

    There is also a thread on this forum by @OmegaHsu (What is EngineerMode?). The behavior will be patched in a later OS update, we learn in that thread.

    Bear in mind that this exploit can only be utilized if an attacker has physical access to the device, USB Debugging is enabled, and the device is connected to a trusted PC. No fun on a device that's not your own.
