We’ve just finished taking the wraps off
OnePlus Nord – our newest smartphone that has pretty much everything you could ask for.
At OnePlus, we’re dedicated to bringing flagship experiences to all our devices. Our history has shown that focusing on just a few markets first and then expanding has worked well. While this new smartphone product line will initially be available in Europe and India, we look forward to bringing more affordable smartphones to North America in the future.
But we’ve got good news for
50 of you.
Introducing the OnePlus Nord Beta Program. We’re giving 50people in the United States and Canada the chance to put Nord through its paces.
There are two parts to the OnePlus Nord Beta Program:
- Feedback form
We’ll be providing you with a feedback form to give you a chance to communicate directly with the OnePlus product team - we hope this will fuel a constructive dialogue about where we can take the product line in the future. In this form, we want to hear what you think of Nord – straight up.
- Device review
We’d also like to see original, creative, and unbiased reviews that really testNord – we’re talking benchmark scores, sample shots, performance comparisons, the lot.
Oh, and some of you will also get to keep the device after you’ve published your review. Don’t worry, we’ll be in touch to let you know whether you can keep your Nord, or if you’ll need to return it.
How it works:
1. Applications open on 07/21/2020
2. Applications close on 07/28/2020
3. 50 reviewers announced on 08/04/2020
4. Reviews go live by 08/31/2020
5. We will start to individually notify those who get to keep the device at the end of August
Who can participate:
All OnePlus and non-OnePlus users, community and non-community members based in the United States and Canada can submit applications tothe OnePlus Nord Beta Program. Users outside of the United States and Canada are not eligible to take part.
How to apply:
Please fill out the application form. Applications open on 07/21/2020 at 10:30 am EST.
All submissions should be in English. Applications close on
07/28/2020 at 10:30 pm EST.
How do we select beta testers?
We select beta testers according to their writing, photography, and videography skills.But most importantly, we’re looking for people to share their honest experience with us in a way that’s clear and detailed.
Moderators will be involved in the selection process and will help to review applications.
What do beta testers need to do?
If you’re selected as one of our 50 beta testers, you need to do two things – celebrate, then wait patiently for your Nord to arrive. As soon as you receive it, start thoroughly testing, then post your review on the OnePlus Community in addition to your own social channels.
All beta testers are required to complete a feedback form that will provide an opportunity to communicate with our product team about how to make Nord an even better smartphone.
The beta testers that really give us their honest take and do so in a way that’s thorough and distinct will get to keep Nord.Unfortunately, everyone else will need to return their device within one month.
We’ll be sending out a set of full instructions to those who are chosen to participate in the OnePlus Nord Beta Program – this will include details such as how to submit your feedback form, and when you can expect to receive the device.
Product disclosure
In some regions across North America, Nord may experience signal stability issues. That’s because all Nord review units are European and don’t have support for the following bands:
ATT:B14, 30, 29, 48
TMO:B25, 71
Nord also comes without support for 4x4 MIMO which means, in some areas, the device may not offer a stable 4G connection and will revert to 3G instead.
We ask that you cover your signal experience with Nord in your review. So, make phone calls to friends, far-flung relatives and, of course, use mobile data to browse the web and let us know how you get on.
