I like white and black, my liquidsmooth has dark, really easy on the eyes, but I get white is kinda flashy and fresh/bright. And I actually love the notification panel on lollipop, so much more of an open layer, and on liquidsmooth, the way notifications and toggles work is just so much more intelligent with different pull down settings (if music controls(persistent notifications) are present, the toggles require two swipes (or smart-edge pull down), but if no notifications are present, it just flies down, so much better than flipping between two panels IMO, and is less intrusive :)

You know you don't have to update right? You could stay on kitkat for ever if you wanted to

No I am pissed because now I have to spend hours backing up all my data then root the opo and then flash a custom ROM then spend several more hours re downloading my 105 apps and setting up all the settings screens folders and then several more hours putting my data back on the phone

And for what to stay away from stock androids ugly as f*** rom

All in all at least 16 hours of time I have to waste at a minimum that's assuming my daughter is going to behave but she is two so that's unlikely

Yep and android kk has a number of problems when you turn off the notification to update plus it will auto download in the background causing battery drain and high ram use

As i said before, you don't actually have to update so no need to waste any time doing all of that

I have avoided updating a few times on kitkat and i have never had any issues. A friend of mine got the lollipop OTA on his nexus 5 when it 1st came out and he still hasn't installed it, it hasn't even auto downloaded and even if it does it's a one time thing so it's not exactly going to consistently drain your battery or ram

What's the point in having a phone if not to update I want android L as well just not a ugly ui and limited features

To "upgrade" to stock android is a massive downgrade IMO

Seeing as CM is based on stock Android you should have known what you were getting yourself in to. What kind of ui did you want?

I know its based on stock but its not bright white and it has a solid theme feature that has been in full swing for a very long time

Op ROM has no such feature and will have very limited themes once it does put in such a feature and no wide spread support for the themes by having devs that have been building them for cm for a long time
