That is the lamest excuse for a "leak" that I've ever seen. Just a generic Android phone mock up, hardware manufacturer neutral.

You did say Android Silver would stay in 2015. That's a long time to rely on the nexus 5. I was going too say it looked like one of the new Samsung devices.

Regardless of what it is. The fact of the matter is:

Google confirmed the next nexus phone would be released after the Second quarter of this year.

Only one rumor (evleaks) suggested the nexus line is cancelled.

I'll take Googles word over a guy who has been wrong many times. Regardless if this is or isn't the nexus 6, the nexus 6 will come later this year.

Don't believe headlines. The article states that the reference comes from chromium which can always have mentions faked. This is not a confirmation. It even says towards the bottom that there are also reports of a canceled line and instead, Android Silver will replace it.

He did not deny it....think about it - they are not going to give anything away - they want it to be a surprise.
Also, IF the new SILVER program is starting in 2015, why would Google not do a smartphone for 2014? Do you really think that Google will not have a smartphone in 2014? No, common sense tells "YES, they will"....along with a new tablet - and tablet sales have been off in the industry, so expect the unexpected with the new Google Nexus 8 tablet...

I did mention in my post that it could be just Google's way of telling us the rumors are false. Leaks like these are never leaks and usually just a part of a marketing campaign to generate hype. Google would probably purposely "leak" it so that we wouldn't know too much about it.

Umm no. Read it. "However, those code discoveries did not actually confirm new Nexus product names." Do not actually confirm. "Google is expected to unveil the Nexus 8 tablet this summer, alongside Android 4.5, and launch a Nexus 6 smartphone in fall." Expected to release. Not confirmed. Plus the article isn't written by anyone from Google.
