OnePlus One better than OnePlus 2...and why?

    gino76ph , Jan 8, 2016 :
Hi there. I'm choosing between the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2 as my next phone due to their OS being better than vanilla Android. But what is this i'm hearing that the older model is better then the current flagship? SO i would like to ask:
    1. Which one has a better camera?
    2. Which one has a slightly louder speakers?
    3. Is it true the OPOne has better battery life/more optimised software than the OP2 despite having a smaller battery capacity?
I'm also worried that the OnePlus One might be left behind with newer/constant updates compared to the OnePlus 2.
    Please help. Many thanks.

    3. Yes but op2 has improved with each update. Most people with amazing batterylife on the opo however are running custom roms.

As someone who hasn't had any OnePlus phone which would you guys recommend to buy?

My other CyanogenOS phone is a Wileyfox Swift which has terrible battery life.

If you want custom roms or CyanogenOS OPO, if you don't mind waiting for custom roms and are okay with OoS, op2.

The OPO, IMO, is the more solid phone. Better stock software and battery life. I think the OPO has better speakers since they are less likely to be muffled but the OPT has a better camera. Don't know if it can take RAW photos though.

I owned both and I ended up selling the OPT due to battery life and software issues. But it honestly comes down to what you want from your device

But would you agree that the OnePlus One does have a better battery life "in general"?

Which one has a "speedier" camera? Or better in low-light shots?

My other worry is that the OPO might not get the latest Oxygen OS like the OP2. :(

That's good, have you had any issues with the FP scanner? I just liked the customizability of COS

The speaker is louder on the One and more clear/crisp on the 2
Battery life can't say as ive not used the oneplus one for a full day...
Camera is definitely better on the 2
Oxygen OS is good enough for most people, but if you are comfortable flashing roms then no problem

I have no experience with flashing ROMs. I depend on updates via over the air.

So, back to my question: Can i still get the latest OxygenOS on the OnePlus One via OTA?

    OP2

Twin mono on the OPO vs the single mono on the OP2.

Never found the OP2 speaker lacking in quality , it's better balanced I'd say.....but the OPO can get irritatingly loud if that's what you prefer.

You shouldn't really be comparing a Dual SIM phone with a single SIM phone IMO.

But , from my experience , they almost tend to last the same amount of run time during a work day ( running stock ROMs , no MODs ) but the OPO has a very slight edge there obviously.

Better forget about OxygenOS on the OPO right now .

It just not meant to be. If you prefer stock ROMs , I'd suggest you consider other phones....coz the software's still a WIP.

The OPO still has a great custom ROM Dev support. The OP2 is in it's way there too.

In the beginning this might have been true but a lot of the updates focused on camera performance.
