    I've used a 2012 note 10.1 and a note 8.0. The 10.1 has front facing stereo speakers, and the 8.0 has bottom facing like the oneplus one. I was very impressed with the 10.1 honestly. The 8.0 definitely lacks range, but has volume, making it usable for some kinds of music, but videos can sound funny at high volume, wheras the 10.1 was very sharable. I hope the one has quality sound and volume.

    All speakers need time to warm up so to speak, even cell phone speakers. The reviews by Android authority might be a bit early for reviewing the speaker quality..

    As long as its not as tinny and hollow sounding as most smartphone speakers I'll be fine with it. I've tried listening to music over my N4s speakers and I just can't. Not loud or clear enough for it.

    I got the impression that the speakers are good but a little quiet. Hafta wait till a proper review comes out.

    I thought they were JBL speakers with yamaha amplifiers?

    Problem is that so far, the devices floating out there are all pre-production units so until the final retail units flow out, we can't be too certain about that...

    Hands on by Android Authority says they aren't very impressive. Still say HTC One M8 has the best speakers regardless, front facing dual amps
