OnePlus to Abandon CyanogenMod in Favor of In-House ROM?

    pilotone , Aug 5, 2014 :
Just read an article (pardon me if this has already been discussed/posted) that OnePlus is rumored to abandon CyanogenMod for an in-house developed ROM. I understand these are just rumors but could potentially be from some truth. What's the community's thoughts? I think it's quite a drastic move if it happens given that CyanogenMod is one of the highlights of the OPO. Any of you running standroid (stock KitKat)?

Mods, edit as necessary. I am in no way associated with that article or site.

Really? All I've read and heard is that it is for CyanogenMod not ColorOS.

In their interview, OnePlus said that they will ditch ColorOS in favour to their in house version of Android for China market but still going with the Cyanogen for the international market.

This is only meant for China which never had Cyanogen mod in the first place. This articles were more click bait than anything else. OP is not abandoning CM for the international market.

It did seem to be only for china, due to the firewall. Going stock didn't make sense since a lot of it wouldn't work because of the firewall. So they were going to start from scratch? I hope they have a separate team on this.. although any Cyanogenmod updates shouldn't need them directly should it?
