Oneplus TV U1 loud static Noise & shutdown issue

    I have been facing with my recently purchased Oneplus TV U1.

    It suddenly gives out a loud static noise and then shut downs.

    I dont know does it happen when i am using just Netflix but it is happening 2-3 times a day.

    Checked the plug socket if the problem was with a loose fit plug, but it looks good.

    Pls help me with it. Also saw the same problem on amazon reviews from another user.

    Hi,
    I would suggest reaching out Customer Care and raise a ticket, so that a technician would visit and check it. That way you are not to blame if the whole device fails later.

    I received my new One Plus 55 U1 series TV today. At first start the TV turned on fine I've set it up with all the steps till home screen. Tested all the sound and display, it went fine for like 30 mins, the TV was on as it was i stepped out for an hour and come back home. The TV got turned off automatically, then i tried to on it back. It shows up till One Plus Logo makes weird sound and turns off. I'm really sad with this purchase. Not even 3 hours the TV IS DEAD. Really dissatisfied.

    Yes Venky, even i was shocked too, i think One Plus needs to test their units thoroughly before delivering it to their customers.

    I've contacted Amazon CS, Appointment has been scheduled for inspection, hopefully Amazon will replace it.

    Update as of now, it doesn't even boot till home screen. Seems like One Plus sent me a defective piece. Not good.

    No my TV works fine on normal dish tv. But when i switch to OTT apps in Built on oxygen play, it crashes badly. But still it works

    I'm really confused what's going on with One Plus TV, they need to fix this issues before the damage is done to this product. I strongly believe the new update is causing lot of issues. Many users complaining on OTT apps while watching, it suddenly shuts off !

    I'm really exhausted keeping calling to Amazon and One Plus Customer Care. No proper support has been assigned to look over this issue by any of them. Not Fair.

    Sorry for the bad experience, has this problem been solved?
    Is the TV connected to other devices (such as amplifiers)? If these devices are unplugged, does the TV work normally?

    Not yet, the problem is still hanging on. No external devices are connected to the TV.

    See the detailed video how the TV shuts off all of the sudden. After this the TV wont even power up again, i need to wait for a day to boot up as now, but it repeats the same.

    This is happening from the day one of the purchase.One Plus Care team has not taken this issue seriously, i have been requesting for support but sadly no one showed up. I'm still wondering would i really get help for this ?

    This been a really bad experience for me. Didn't expect this from One Plus.

    Please follow the steps: Settings > More Settings > Reset > Reset > Erase everything.
