OnePlus tv U1s (55") regret buying this tv . No support whatsoever. via OnePlus 9 Pro

    I recently purchase oneplus U1S tv from Flipkart that was installed today(16-june-21) at my home by the technician . With in hour of use I could see that there was light coming from the all the corners of tv and also there was pannel gaps and other issues related to the display of the tv which is the most prominent thing in a television.

    I was surprised to see this level of testing from oneplus when they advertised we thoroughly tested our tv . I for sure don't see that how can a product so bad can be dispatched to a consumer prior to testing. The one that has so many issues.

    I have already purchased another tv from Amazon same model and now I am confused if I have made the right choice going with oneplus when it comes to television. I own a lot of products from oneplus including (oneplus 1, 5, 8pro and 9pro).

    The customer support experience after 9pro was bitter sweet. No reply and help from the support team . I was shocked to see this kind of support for customers. Even on the community forum there is no reply from the support team.

    It's been only four days since I got the tv and was installed.

    Already bought another tv from other partner channel Amazon tv is arriving tomorrow. Want to see what kind of testing done by OnePlus prior the product reaches the customer.

    I am really curious and concerned about my decision I have made having second thoughts .

    Purchased Oneplus 9 pro ... The device was heating asking support from your team on forum no reply or help . Is that want customer service means to OnePlus now.

    This is your newer tv advertised to be tested on very high altitudes different temperature and conditions. Don't see that.

    See for yourself OnePlus team if any of those claims were for real or just another marketing strategy from OnePlus to create hype about their product.

    OnePlus ruined my tv experience for shure.

    I will see myself tomorrow morning, the other tv will come.
    And I will puting that to test for what OnePlus is claiming.

    The user interface was so laggy on the television even after the update it felt like i am a cheap smartphone didn't expect that from OnePlus my Mi box pro works better than that.

    You're expecting a response from OnePlus support on a community forum ? That's the wrong expectation to have in the first place.

    If you can , return the OP TV for a refund.

    If you have a support ticket open , @Venky61 might be able to help you.

    Do keep in mind he's not working for OnePlus.

    As you mentioned it was recently bought, why not raise a replacement request with Flipkart itself.. that's the safest way. This support process might delay and you might go out of the replacement period.

    Not worth the time chasing with support for an out of the box quality issue.

    Did that already but very surprised to see this level of testing by oneplus prior to product reaching to its customers.
    This was advertised on their product listing page on their official
    website .You tell me do you see that with issues I am reporting said:

    Now having thoughts about replacment unit and my other tv is about to be delivered today now hard to even believe OnePlus claims they make in any of their product launch events .I guess they are shifting their focus from customer and community driven company to just any other brands available in the market .

    That's true man I completely agree with you . Have other television products from lg and samsung in home it has been almost 5 -6 years no issues at all and the customer service is top-notch

    2. This is a flicker in the dark areas
    What you'll think. Should I go in for replacement? Suggestions are welcome.

    That's literally the case with any LED TV....due to the backlighting

    It is majorly in the hands of OTT apps...

    I have a sony LED and I dont see this bleed in it. So better I get this checked and go in for replacement.

    Get it checked and replaced if you're not happy with the panel quality.

    Do remember that you bought a TV from a marketing company that does not make consumer electronics.

    Your right, I wanted to try this looking at the features it was offering. But as mentioned better to buy from consumers Manufacturing company. Phones we change in a year or two. But TV’s always look for long run.
