Try to change to Priority or Silent and back to All notification , then volume up or down,

    Update ,
in my case it was an app issue , I downgraded to Lollipop and had the same issue after resorting my apps backups,
I inspected my apps, one by one , and was surprised that it was cause by one of my apps that I've been using for long time on my old phone without an issue,
Anyway , I now upgraded to the latest version, and don't have the ringing issue ,

This only helps till the next reboot of the phone. What can i do? A factory reset is no option, because of security apps, that cause financial loss, that no one refunds, or does someone?

sliding the left button up and then back down and the ringtone should be back to normal. you need to do this everytime you reboot your phone. not sure how to fix it permanently though

Keep the ringtone volume adjusted.. move the slider to Priority mode.. reboot the phone.. now move the slider to All Notification.. You will be able to hear when the phone rings.. this worked for me..

Ok found a solution that worked for me.
Goto System settings > sounds & notifications > app notifications > phone > switch the Treat as priority to ON.
This should enable the edit mode for Priority settings. Change this from None to Calls from anyone.
This should work. I just found this so documenting before I forget the steps..

For Ringtone issue the below steps might fix the issue

Set the phone on priority notification, and restart your device and set it back to general mode. The phone will start to ring after that.

I had the same symptoms and this worked for me also. I consider it a bug in the OP2 version of Marshmallow.

Yeah I'm also getting the same problem and the only way i found to go arround it is to slide the notifications slider to "silent" and then back to "all notifications", although you have to do this every time you reboot/turn on your phone. Hope One Plus gets this OS bug fixed ASAP in the next OS update.

My OP2 on marshmallow does not ring either. Interestingly, when I try to access the sound and notification settings on the stock dialer app, the page crashes everytime
