OnePlus X stock recovery issue

Hi, I'm a frequent flyer of installing software so I know my way around a device or two (OnePlus X and OnePlus 3 to which I own). The latest stock recovery for the X which is OPX_MM_recovery.img for where I downloaded from the official site is where I am having problems with as I load it via the usual fastboot mode, format the cache and I reboot to recovery but all I get is the OnePlus logo. The powered by android line disappears.

Now I found an older version of the stock recovery which is less than 15Mb and just named recovery.img and that one works fine, no issues.

I want to know is there a way to get the latest recovery to function or is it bugged?

Please help me... and my thanks in advanced

P.S. everything is unlocked, cause I can put the latest twrp on whenever

    Hi ,
On OOS 3, I had to root via Kingroot, then use an app to flash the TWRK Blu-spark V41.
Then unroot Kingroot and the apps on the phone.
Then reboot to recovery and flash SuperSu modded for OOS 3 (dispo on OP2 forum).

You could try first to fastboot TWRP B-S V41 to see if it's OK for you.
