I'm very concerned about the number of people reporting "overheating" problems in their OP5's so early in it's release.

Any smartphone or other hand-held electronic device that becomes uncomfortably warm (or hot) during normal intermittent use, definitely points to a problem which should be immediately and thoroughly investigated, as continued usage can not only affect performance, but seriously damage the device.

I'd strongly suggest any OP5 owners experiencing such problems immediately contact OP Support and restrict usage of all CPU intensive games or videos.

Hopefully we're not seeing the same problems in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, OEM's experienced with the 810.

I have noticed when screen brightness is all the way down the heat is gone and phone goes from 40-41 temp to around 36-37 but I don't want to look at a dim screen all day. so seems like a temporary fix for now for me.

Using CPU-Z after browsing chrome for 15 mins i noticed the phone got really warm near the dual camera lens, at the top near the LED flash. When i opened CPU-Z to check temperature: Battery 34-36 C and other sensor on phone reporting between 34-38 C. Ambient temperature is 22 C, does any else have these temps?

If it overheats frequently then you should contact customer support. Till now no one in review said that its overheating.

Hmm your answer doesn't justify. I am former user for 3T, it did get very hot quite often. Now I see people having same issue with 1+5.

FYI, I play mobile legend with LTE. I played with 3T, I had to put my phone infront of AC vent :/
Now I am using p10 plus (HiSilicon Kirin 960 16mm, quite well-known for inefficient power). Play the same game with LTE, doesnt heat up to unbearable stage.

What I mean is 1+ delivers some great products! They just need more developers to polished the OOS.
Almost 90% of the problems here in the forum are all because of OOS. not the hardware.

How do you use your phone? Personally my OP5 is wayyyyy cooler than my OP3, which is like a vulcano so hot to be honest
