raisulbappy , via OnePlus 6 , Jul 23, 2021 : I've been using OP 6 since 2018. Never have i ever found any serious issues until couple of days back when it took a restart while using and went into "Qualcomm CrashDump Mode". Tried to factory reset and start it using fastboot but none worked. Then took it to expert and they tried using resetting software by flashing and so on but it didn't work. Finally someone said it is a hardware issue with CPU failure and said he might try to fix it by opening up the component. Guess what, it worked and my phone started again. But as it went through factory reset many times so I lost all my data from my phone. And to my utter surprise it went to android 8 and the automatic update isn't working anymore. I tried to update from settings and it is saying it has the latest OS. Before crashing i had android 10 with security patch update of June 01 2021. Now I need suggestion from expert here, 1. Is there any way I can get the data back? 2. How can I get the latest android version from my phone? 3. Why did it went into "Qualcomm CrashDump Mode"? P.s. Screenshot of the setting and crashdump pic attached for the reference.
