I've been using OP 6 since 2018. Never have i ever found any serious issues until couple of days back when it took a restart while using and went into "Qualcomm CrashDump Mode". Tried to factory reset and start it using fastboot but none worked. Then took it to expert and they tried using resetting software by flashing and so on but it didn't work. Finally someone said it is a hardware issue with CPU failure and said he might try to fix it by opening up the component. Guess what, it worked and my phone started again. But as it went through factory reset many times so I lost all my data from my phone. And to my utter surprise it went to android 8 and the automatic update isn't working anymore. I tried to update from settings and it is saying it has the latest OS. Before crashing i had android 10 with security patch update of June 01 2021.

Now I need suggestion from expert here,

    1. Is there any way I can get the data back?
    2. How can I get the latest android version from my phone?
    3. Why did it went into "Qualcomm CrashDump Mode"?

P.s. Screenshot of the setting and crashdump pic attached for the reference.

If you have not saved you data in the cloud or elsewhere, then your data is lost. You can't get them back
The latest OOS can you download from the oneplus support page -> downloads
    You can install it manually.

Hi buddy. I know how to do this. You need to manually download and install last update of each Android versions.
I mean now you need to download and install last Android 8.1 update.
Then the first android 9 update, then last Android 9 update
Then first android 10 update, then you can install the latest software update through OTA.

And you cannot retrieve your data.

Also, I had the same issue. My device went to Qualcomm Crashdump Mode. I tried MSM tool several times, but didn't work... So, how did you do it?? What did you do after opening the back panel of the device. Please contact me-

Oh yes you are on A8. You have to install always the first and the last version of A8 1 - A9 - A10
Then you can install or get the latest A10 version.

Hey there, thanks for the step by step process. I'll try it then.
I've taken my phone to repair shop, and the hardware expert retrieve it. I'm sorry I don't know the process. He said it's a CPU failure issue.
