Incoming calls ring, but don't connect. Caller hears rings until voicemail. Outgoing calls work fine.

I have the exact same issue with the most recent update, with Google Fi on the Oneplus 7 Pro

Edit: I have Google Fi on a OnePlus 7 Pro.

Yes, the problem does still exist with the Beta 3. However, it seems that answering calls does work after uninstalling the Google Fi app. But not sure if that has any other implications

My OnePlus 7t, on latest Android 11. Google fi as carrier .

    Experiencing same issue.

" ANSWER " button has no response , although decline does.

I can make out going calls.

I've tried everything! Factory reset , clear phone app cache . Even tried a 3rd party phone app.

    SOLVED:
As mentioned above, After the disabling Google Fi App, I am now able to answer calls via the answer button.:)

I too am not exactly sure what repercussions would occur while not running the Google fi app while using their service,I may be removing the app completely, in order to use my phone!

So is this 1 + 1's issue or Google 5 is it issue?

That was a fix someone posted a while ago in another forum. The issue I had, was after disabling the Fi app I lost access to voicemail. Not the visual voicemail has worked, but I actually lost the voicemail icon on the phone app. The stock one and the Google one.

Same thing here. Removing the Google Fi app works, but then I lose Wi-Fi calling, unfortunately...

Thank you for the update. I had to move back to stable because this is such a huge problem that the beta is unusable to me.

Confirmed that removing the Google Fi App from the OnePlus 7t Device will fix the dialer issue not answering calls.

You will lose visual voicemail and wifi dialing. This is a pretty terrible bug to release out into the stable channel. Blah.

What about the voicemail icon in the dialer? Visual voicemail has never worked for me on the OP7T. The last time I uninstalled the fi app it removed the whole voicemail section from the phone app.

Just another fortunate user confirming this bug.. Seems like fellow OP7 Google Fi users have been reporting this for some time.

Reading from other communities, users are reporting this is an issue with Qualcomm source code, the CAF (Code Aurora Repository). Apparently our A11 release is based on the CAF, however the OP8 is based on AOSP (Google's software baseline, Android Open Source Project). So this is why we are suffering from this problem and they OP8+Fi+A11 users are not. The user further confirmed this specific outcome by flashing a stock QSSI (Qualcomm Single System Image) which breaks Google Fi and then AOSP which does not.

Hopefully OP has already reached out to Qualcomm regarding this matter..

If deactivating the google fi app, are incoming sms messages truncated and messed up? I had that issue when Android 10 dropped when running the vanilla sim card sans fi app activation.

Just wondering, I can deal with the things you mentioned, but definitely can't have sms messages bugging out if I need to rely on the 7 pro temporarily as a back up device if I sell my new daily.

    Thanks

Im curious if call screening works on the op8 since it's on that aosp framework?
My xperia 1ii has it, nice feature to have. I don't believe simply installing the google dialer via app store adds it in, without some framework sorcery.
