The location icon is continuously being displayed on the screen and even after turning off the location it is being displayed. It is draining the battery too. The Google Play Store too for no reason has been draining the battery for a while now since the location icon has come up. One plus should fix this ASAP.

It means one or more than one app is using location in the background. Try to find that app and deny location permission.
In some devices its happening due to bug. Oneplus will fix that in future update. It'll go once you restart the device.

I think this has been posted a couple of dozen tines already.

It's most likely OnePlus scout, an india only app that's using the location data

Play Store bug is a separate issue. Uninstall updates of Play Store. That would buy you some time before it auto updates to the newest version again. By then Google hopefully have solved it and have released a newer version.
Sometimes enforcing stuff like refusing location or background data, Optimize battery use and so on... Might not give the effect you want. Always good to analyze the effect of a change. said:
Everyone with a more or less constant location icon... Have you reported it via the feedback tool?

It doesn't work. Directly turning off the location from the settings also doesn't work sometimes. It's a bug.
