OP calculator doesn't listen to the screen orientation.

I started using the Calc app. I noticed when I change my screen orientation to horizontal, the calc changes even if the orientation is locked to vertical.

I am not sure if it was a bug or a practical decision by the app design team. I am inclined towards the design decision.

    Running On OP5T. Stable release.

It is not a problem. Not an issue. I am just curious why does that happen. What kind of decision it was?

The horizontal screen does bring more relevant calculation into the picture, which is fine with me.

Not sure that is the way it was always since I had my 5T, goggle calculator does lock rotation by comparison.

Yes. Exactly. Screen rotation lock is present for a reason. It should not override that.

I will wait on someone's POV on this.

I am not so convinced if this is the right way.

Same problem here! I also have the same issue with the horizontal/vertical screen in other apps too. Even if I turn auto rotation off it will still rotate by itself in almost every app.

Some developer hard code the orientation. Eg. Games and stuff. Many apps should work fine.

Got any other example of miss behaviour?

the worse thing is this has been discussed hundreds of times before but you were too lazy to use search.

always search before posting is a little bit of good advice

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.

I use the phone app and the search option doesn't have the great results.
Please report this thread to admins so that they can merge it to the materbthreqd if it exists.

Again, sorry for wasting your time. :)

try using search rather than hijacking a thread that has nothing to do with your question.

there is no IR facility on any of the oneplus phones if that is what you are after
