NFC payments. Why put a fingerprint scanner on the phone and make it so you cant use it for payments?

In the past I've used it for increasing the purchase price of tech that I've bought.
Never used it after the purchase of said tech! ;)

I use NFC literally everyday to connect my car radio to my OPO. I was 100% set on getting the OP2, but now I'll stick with my OPO or probably look into another company...

if people are worried about the battery you could always get a battery backup like one that oneplus sells in the store

If you're in Canada, it's more the reason to want NFC. Once Google Wallet migrates to Android Pay and rolls out, we can take advantage of the existing "Tap n Pay" infrastructure already in place to support it. In contrast, the US is still taking forever to roll out contactless payment terminals, even with Apple Pay pushing its release.

I have used it one time for a payment. Not so many stores that I go too accept wireless payment so it is not a must have for me.

I have used Apple Pay once... maybe twice. It's a gimmick; there simply aren't enough vendors that have standardized the technology to make it anything more than that.

Need to add a "Maybe" button to your poll.

I can't say no for sure, but no NFC has given me pause.

as for wireless payment some banks are making stickers that stick onto the back of your phone for example bpay.co.uk and most of the time where i would use android beam the person has an iphone or i just use a file sharing app. wireless charging is unnecessary when cable charging is faster. https://oneplus.net/invites?kolid=PSIHPN please bump me up

Awesome. And convenient... so I guess my next question for you is, what kinds of uses do you see NFC having in the future? Where is it going? It seems like everyone is focusing on it as a payment method.

    Google Wallet.

Honestly it should be a choice, and not one made for me. I was so sure it was just a presentation omission. I don't use dual sim, but now I have the choice to.

I honestly wouldn't mind buying a backplate for NFC or something, but I use it pretty often and pretty consistently with the OPO. It just seems...strange... that they'll cut cost on something like this, considering NFC being adopted with Apple Pay forcing it down everyone's throat, and Android Pay riding the new wave.

I use NFC to pair my phone with my camera for wireless control, for pairing me phone with my bluetooth headset and also my bluetooth camera. Really shocked that they decided to drop the NFC, which I don't think will cost a lot...
